The Friendship Foundation has been established on May 2007 with one goal to achieve - to raise money for children in the Philippines who cannot afford to go to a public High School. As silly as it sounds, it is a public high school, why should they have to pay? Due to the massive amount of corruption in the country, Filipino families have no choice but to pay for public education. It is not fair for these are mere children who wants to learn and not just go to high school to socialize with their friends. They are children who come from families hoping to get out of poverty someday.
The Friendship Foundation started with 5 freshmen and one senior who showed outstanding academic skills to receive a scholarship of about $30 each. This money will cover their tuition fee for the year and books they have to buy. We would like to continue the good deed. If you are interested, please email us at [email protected].
