Hello! We are Luke & Nico. We are a couple of VERY spoiled cats who are so loved that our "Mom" created this MySpace page just for us to possibly meet other loved pets...ur.... um... kids with fur! Our stories of how we came to be here are long and interesting (at least to us they are).So, if you love animals of any kind please message us or add us to your friends!
First about LUKE... In 2003 a very nice lady (my human-mom's mom - gramma to me now) lived in a big beautiful house with a crawl space underneath. For years my kitty-mom found a way to get in there and have MANY litters of kittens! That sweet lady who lived there always found a way, though, to get all of the kitties out and find them good homes; instead of them depending on survival out in the wild. She took them in and cared for them until she found suitable homes. Even paid to have them all spayed or neutered to prevent more unwanted or uncared for kitties. She was such a loving lady and I always now look forward to seeing her when I'm able to. But, on that first meeting I remember being terrified when I saw this human underneath the house full of dirt and cobwebs and who knows what else was under there! I screeched as loudly as I could when I saw her because she grabbed me up and held me close to her heart! I maybe thought she was going to eat me or something!!! She got me and my brother and sister. I thought for sure we were all goners! But, I thought why would she want me! I was covered in mud and all you could see were my big eyes glowing there in the dark. I hadn't eaten much for sure so there would be much for "it" to munch on! My kitty-mom did the best that she could but now that we were ready for solid food she wasn't able to really provide for us as well as she liked. We were very hungry kittens!
My heart raced, but I clung to this person not knowing where else to go. She gently crawled on her belly out of the crawl space into the sunlit backyard and into the house. Wow! So this is what we lived under all this time! If we had known of this play land long ago we may have tried to get in there sooner? Anyways, she placed us in a big box with newspapers and returned shortly with a big bowl of milk! It was pretty close to the kind our kitty-mom fed us as little babies. Oh my! It was so good and cold on that hot August day. After we got our bellies full she gave us each a nice cool bath. Is this Heaven??!! It was definitely wonderful having a full tummy and be nice and clean (like us kitties like to be). All there was to do after that was let our guards down and PLAY! We lived like kitties should live...comfortable and loved.
My kitty-mom was still very afraid of humans, but nervously came to see us all the time. She did trust this lady most out of all humans and when we saw her she let her pet her and feed her. It was the best of both worlds. Days went by and we got fatter and less scared. We really enjoyed playing in the big house. There were these other creatures there too called dogs. They weren't too bad, I guess, for dogs. They liked us, so everything was okay. HeeHee...I think they were more afraid of us!
It happened one day, though, that the lady needed to take a trip so she entrusted her oldest daughter to care for us until she returned. I really liked it there because she spoiled me even more! I had heard she was looking for a new "baby" like me so I did my best to grab the heart of the daughter. I tried to be my cutest at all times and realized I had a "purrrr-machine" I could turn on at a moment's notice to entice her even more! It all worked out "purrrr-fectly" because I ended up staying there. She had lots of cool toys and a BIG soft bed that I could share with her every night. She bought me anything I wanted, gave me love like I never knew and to this day it just grows and grows faster than wheatgrass! ;)
