Oodalolee, Oodalolee, Golly, what a day!

My God, here I am all devoted to Thee. Lord, make me according to Thy heart!

About Me

Hi Y'all, I'm a music major at Simpson University, in Redding, Ca. I play guitar and sing. I write music and occasionally poetry. My passion is worshiping God! Specifically in the area of music. Worship is using whatever talents God has given you to glorify Him, and that for me is singing and worshipping God with my music. God is so awesome and worthy to be praised! One more thing to add, I recently went on a mission trip to Ometepec, Gro. in Mexico. It was amazing and God gave us so many neat opportunities to share the love of Christ. On the last day of the trip I had the opportunity to propose to my wonderful girlfriend, Elanor, and she said YES!!! Oh Happy Day!

You Are 60% Boyish and 40% Girlish
You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch.
Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes.
You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don't actively fight them.
You're just you. You don't try to be what people expect you to be.

My Interests

Guitar, Texas Hold'em Baby!!!! And God Knows what else....

I'd like to meet:

I love meeting all sorts of people, especially people who love the Lord and are excited about serving Him. One of the things I admire in people is when they know what they believe and why and are able to effectively communicate that to other people. It's kind of irritating to me when someone makes some sort of unfounded statement that they have little-to-no evidence on which to stand. That is something both Christians and non-Christians are guilty of sometimes.

Music:

Right now I'd have to say that my biggest hero in music (that is currently alive) is Derek Webb. The man seriously knows what he's talking about and he isn't afraid to write or say the most convicting statements of faith. Other than him, I love all sorts of music, but lean more towards folk/rock, Celtic/folk, and melodic rock.

Movies:

Ok, I am like, the movie King, so I have quite a few favorites. All time Favorite though, "The Princess Bride", Musicals: "Singin' in the Rain", others include "The Count of Monte Cristo" (the book was better), "Life is Beautiful" (Italian film), and "Much Ado About Nothing" (the new one w/Denzel Washington)

Television:

Has anyone ever seen "Perfect Strangers"? Loved that show! Why aren't any of the good shows on anymore?!

Books:

"Job" (along with the rest of the Bible), "The Oath" and "This Present Darkness/Piercing the Darkness"

Heroes:

Jesus (of course), Job, Daniel (among other Biblical characters), Mighty Mouse, Derek Webb, Chris Rice, Kieth Green, My Parents, Thank you mom and dad for living out your faith! My beautiful fiance, Elanor!/

Crystal Ball

Aug. 2000 This is a Poem I wrote about four years ago. It's kind of abstract. Really it's not about anyone in particular. It's more a discription of one of the paths some people end up taking on thei...
