For over a decade, Tony Perkis has served as an incredible inspiration to people across the globe. A recognized authority on physical fitness, the psychology of leadership, and peak performance, he has been honored consistently for his vast intellect, positive attitude, and ripped abs. His internationally renowned Perkisystem™ has helped millions of overweight children find their chi and realize the value of a healthy lifestyle. Perkis has directly impacted the lives of nearly 50 million people from 80 countries with his best-selling books, public speaking engagements, live events, and fitness camps.

Born in western Pennsylvania, the son of a wealthy lighting fixture king, Perkis ballooned to an unimaginable 319 pounds by age 12. For years, he endured the merciless jeers of classmates and finished high school never having been on a date. According to Tony, he "had bad skin, low self-esteem, and no self-respect". Tony was lost and knew that it was time for change. He began a long journey, traveling abroad and studying the world's religions with the great masters. Tony returned home with a body comparable to that of an Olympic athlete and a brand new outlook on life. It was at this time that Tony realized that his life's mission was to help others improve their health and find meaning in their lives, especially overweight children. The Perkisytem™ was born and the rest is history. Through sheer will and persistence, a chubby kid was able to build himself up into a leading fitness guru, motivational speaker, and author. As tony puts it, "now, I eat success for breakfast... with skim milk".
