Brian, Sawyer, and Amelie's Mommy

I am here for Friends

About Me

I am the loving wife of a wonderful, amazing man from England, Jim, and the proud mother of two sons: Brian William, who was born too soon and passed away under the loving watch of his parents in July 2006, and Sawyer James, who was also born prematurely on March 31, 2007 and passed away on April 11.They will always be our guiding stars.
I love writing, and intend to be an author (someday).  I have written 3 novels, at least in part, but have not been wholly satisfied with any of them. Unfortunately, being an English major made me into a bit of a literary snob for awhile, and even though I'm over that now and can see the good in a far wider-reaching range of literature, I still hold myself to a nearly unreachable standard.  I don't want to submit anything for publishing unless it will be critically and academically revered, but I know that I am not that good, and even if I ever were to become that good, it would only be through years of practice and perhaps failure.  I am working on this at the moment. I need to give myself more leeway.
I love people who are non-judgemental, down-to-earth, laid back, and have a good sense of humor. I like to spend time with people who have similar interests to mine--movies, books, television, and music, to name the top few.  I love my friends deeply and think of them as extended family.
As I said at the start, my dearest love in life is the man I am lucky enough to be married to, and I thank God every single day for sending me such an astonishingly wonderful partner.  We are, even though I know it's corny, a real storybook couple, with all the fireworks and shooting stars.  I know what it's like to settle for less (and that's not a criticism of anyone I had a relationship with in the past, because I know they feel the same way), so perhaps that is why I cherish him so deeply.
