Born in Port-Au-prince, Haiti. Moved to U.S.A at 14 years old. That same year J slinger started doing gospel rap with his church choir & playing the drums on friday evenings and sunday mornings. At 16 he stepped his game up, deciding to purchase himself a beat machine after watching 106 & park and fell in love watching the famous timberland make a beat live on BET.J slinger has been influenced by some of the greatest producers, such as Timberland, Dr dre, Pharrell and Alchemist just to name a few. At 18 years old he then decided to turn his dream into a reality by starting SLINGER ENTERTAINEMNT, his own self title record label in Queens, New York City. It was at this time that he got his first taste of the Hip Hop & R&b music as the lead rapper of his label, working with R&b singer Valerie. After 1yrs of hard work and NO dedication, it was clear that not both of them shared the same drive. Determined not to give up, J slinger and Valerie who was also his girlfriend at the time parted to go solo. Next stop on his journey, J slinger hooked up with Trackside Productions & My Room Ent, working with producers/engineers Hazernomical & Adam Strife, who worked with various Underground artists. All together creating a new flavor that promises to take the music world by storm. J slinger has lent his voice to several gangster/commercial singles, most recently featured on the "Forced 2 Fight Dvd" last year 2005. By the end of this year 2006 he will bring his fresh sound "Radio Session" the Album, releasing it down the Road to the riches.He keeps everyone asking who is J slinger, and how did he come up with the name Slinger. well, that's a story he only can explain. In his newest song "Party over here", as he goes along in the second verse he says "call me the ladies man, your girl's bestfriend, God's gift to women, And i ain't scared of no man". Hearing those words you know that he has that good original swagger and cockyness that you cant help to enjoy making you want to know more about the artist. A flow that is so unique & undeniable, plus lyrics that tell stories, J slinger definitely delivers. he has a presence of star quality that is evident, it is clear that he is ofcourse a great one in the making.
