Started life in Barnes with a brief interlude in Illinois. When I was seven the family was transported to New Delhi for two years, followed by five years in the USA, where we built igloos in our garden in the winter, swam in lakes and rivers in the summer, and caught big fish. At fourteen I returned to London, under duress, by now thoroughly mixed up! Music came to the rescue, and I joined various groups in North London on double bass - where I met my husband (violin). For some obscure reason that now escapes me, I studied physics at university (but played lots in the orchestras and Gilbert and Sullivan shows). Now we have three amazing children who are great company and play and compose and love music!
