I love all kinds of music and compulsively sing my life away. There's a special place in my heart for everything 80's and 90's alternative. And whatever happened to grunge?...Loved it. Courtney Love is a freak, but Hole was a great band. Sinead O'Connor- voice of an angel, the most beautiful and amazing woman in the wide world. Guns N' Roses- what real rock sounds like. Pink Floyd- who can compare? The Grateful Dead- innovative and delightful. Eminem- I've got a soft spot for bad boys who are good daddies. The Beastie Boys- I'm from NY, they'll always be my boys. The Stone Roses- bring me right back to my teenage bedroom. The Boo Radleys- heartbreakingly sad, deliriously boppy...great combo. John Lennon's voice moves me to tears. The Beatles- genius. The Cure- only with Robert Smith will I willingly fall back into despair. Johnny Cash and Ray Charles- my grandfather turned me on to these two, and I'm grateful. I used to dig metal but I'm not that angry anymore. Hip hop is my favorite car music. Jane's Addiction- has been the soundtrack of my life. And, GREEN DAY GREEN DAY GREEN DAY, get better and better and better...
How could anyone pick just a few? And does anyone really care? I like my movies like my books, long and serious. I don't have patience for stupid comedies. I guess I don't really have much of a sense of humor. Oh well.
Lost. Survivor. CSI. Big Love. Rescue Me. Two and a Half Men, The Class. I like Discovery and Discovery Health. I'm not as into Animal Planet since my daughter became obsessed with it. I still watch Cosby Show repeats.
I could write a book about books. I love books and everything about them. I love the smell of them, cracking open a brand new hardcover, the softness of an old, worn paperback. I love passing on good books and selecting my next book. I even love bookmarks and I'm picky about what I'll use. The only thing I don't like about books is that, like everything else, they end. A fear of mine is that I will die when I'm in the middle of a good book...
My husband...who works so hard, never complains, and never lets me down. My sister, the only truly selfless person I know. My daughters, who love without limits and keep me safely tethered to this world.
