The year is 1998. A soon-to-be popular pop-punk band forms in Albuquerque, New Mexico's otherwise soulless Northeast Heights (a mystifying blend of Scottsdale-like strip malls, unrelenting pavement and not a single pedestrian in sight.

They call themselves 3 Degrees. Unfortunately, they're not the first to do so. Having already and attached the 3 Degrees name to the artwork of their debut CD, the band decided that the most sensible course of action would be to identify themselves by the album's title instead of the 3 Degrees moniker, which would most certainly have resulted in a cease-and-desist order. Hence, Left Unsaid were born. And their debut, despite the 3 Degrees logo, has sold a staggering 4,000 copies regionally in the Southwest, and is currently out of print.

Fast-forward three years to 2001. Left Unsaid- Eric (Bass), Hunter (guitar & vocals, Jeremy (drums), Mario (guitar & vocals)- continue to impress and increase their fanbase by sharing stages with bands such as The Offspring, Strung Out, Bad Religion and The Ataris to name a few, and set out on the road for their first, self-booked, DIY tour. They also competed in 2001's Jim Beam National Band Search (in which they were named finalists), and appeared on numerous compilations released by the Crankshaft, Silent, and Together labels alongside the likes of New Found Glory. Good Riddance, Rufio, Face To Face, Finch, and many other respected bands.

In 2002, Left Unsaid released Eleven, a tightly-wound EP that showcased the band's ability to write intelligent, highly introspective songs while maintaining the hook-laden melodies that had become their signature among original fans. By the end of the year, Left Unsaid had locked in the "Best Band in New Mexico" award in the prestigious New Mexico Showcase. By 2003, Left Unsaid found themselves regulary opening for such banmds as Static-X and Red Hot Chili Peppers among others, and released The Curse, from which two songs ("Dresden,""Paper Dolls) were put into regular rotation on Albuquerque's most respected rock radio station, KTEG 104.7 FM. As aresult, several major labels began showing serious interest in the five-year-old band.

With a refreshed line-up that includes new drummer Gabe (ex-Jet Black Summer), another EP is in the works, with a supporting tour to follow. In the six years since their inception, Left Unsaid have honed their sound, striking a near-perfect balance of melodic complexity and pure punk energy.
