I am here for Friends

About Me

Hi all, I live in the beautiful Bay Area, with our balmy weather and even balmier people. But that's cool, better than living somewhere where the people are stupid and narrow-minded. I recently lost my wonderful husband to cancer, and also both of my parents. Although I am still very sad, I feel a little better knowing that my husband loved me and left me able to live without any worries. So, thanks for taking care of me, Billy. And thanks to my parents, too.I am also grateful to all the people who have been supportive and kind.

And to hell with all the people who weren't!

My Interests

Horses and horseback riding, reading, art, hiking, gardening, baking, wondering around town, feeding lost kitties.

I'd like to meet:

Friendly people, no idiots please

Rhythm and Blues, some pop, some rock, some hippity hop

Movies:

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, American Idol, Brothers and Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Lifetime movies, HBO, Food Network, Animal Planet, Discovery Channels, Oprah, Amazing Race, CSI, Lost, South Park (sometimes).

20 Months

I can hardly believe that it has been 20 months today since my Billy passed away.  Dreaming about him is still not the same as having him here.  I still have his messages on the phone, I sti...

Sebastian

There is a funny little cat who lives near me named Sebastian, sometimes he comes to visit.  This does not sit well with Snuffy, my big, fat, juicy, steak of a cat.  When they see each other...

Birthday

Hey, I got through a rough day yesterday, Billy’s birthday.  I realized one of the best ways to deal with my sadness is to get the hell out of here.  Since the weather has been pretty ...

Eighteen months

Today it has been 18 months since my beloved Billy passed away.  How the hell could it have been that long already?  I still love and miss him very much.  I would like to thank my famil...

Sunny day

I am so glad when the sun is out.  The sycamore trees on Central look like they are getting ready to burst into bloom.  And today I heard the robin singing for the first time.  Soon the...

My Billy

It is pretty cold here, and I was just thinking about how when Billy and I would go to bed, a lot of times my hands would be ice cold.  If I touched him, he would jump and tell me to wa...

Idol

On a lighter note, I am glad American Idol comes back tonight.  I think Simon's a hoot!
