I have come a long way from my days in the streets of West Baltimore. I was all about sittin on stoop, or the corner (stricker and ramsey baby!) smokin and drinking, along with other extracurricular activates. I loved the way I lived, and I don't regret a minute of it. It has played a big part of who I am today, a fighter and survivor.
I woke up one day and realized I needed change. I hated my home life, and knew if I didn't do something about it, I would never amount to anything. I left Baltimore for a new life at 19. I found myself in Seattle. I stayed for 6 years, and then made my way down to where I am today, Los Angeles, where I am working as the Sales and Marketing Manager for Noh Foods of Hawaii.
I'm thankful everyday for where I have ended up. By no means do I live a privileged life, but I'm in a good place.
I've grown quite a bit in these last 10 years. I'm no longer shallow, and except people for who they are. I'm no longer one dimensional, but instead multi-faceted.
I can go anywhere, and be with anyone, and have good time.
Life is good......
"Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is right.
This nation was founded on one princinple above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences.
When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world -- "NO YOU MOVE."
