Tameka "Nikki" Sanford, a native of Fort Worth, Texas. Nikki has had the opportunity to work with some of gospels greatest artists. She can be heard on vocals with MDM and Voices, Dr. Vernard Johnson, the late Gregory Spencer, Sean Reed, and Gaye Arbuckle-Sneed. She can also be heard as the lead vocalist singing Power on the MDM and Voices project released in May 2002. Nikki has shared the stage with exceptional artists such as Blair, Mary Alessi, Rachel,Valerie Boyd, Barbara Mitchell, CeCe Winans, Tye Tribbett, Kelly Price and Tracii Smith to name a few. Unsurprisingly, in 2004 Nikki was selected as the winner of the Gospel Idol Contest sponsored by Sacred Moments Ministries. Nikki currently sings behind Myron Williams, Minister of Music for Prophetess Juanita Bynum. As a solo artist, she has been blessed to open for Gospel Recording artist and actress, Tamela Mann and Nationally recognized comedian Rickey Smiley. In 2006 Nikki was a background singer in hit play, "Heaven For A Gee". cast members included actor/rapper Lil Zane, actress Keisha Night Pulliam (The Cosby Show), Shazaam (H-Town), rapper Ecstasy (Whodini) and recording artist Cherrelle. Her gift as a writer is revealed in Nikki's first recorded song Though I Fall, where she is featured as vocalist and writer on Myron and DeMarcus Williams Presents: The Modern Day Music Conference - Volume I, released in July 2002. This song was recently re-recorded and released by Eric Birdine and the Messengers. Nikki, a talented vocalist, writer, and performer is definitely worth keeping an eye on. When not rehearsing or in the studio, she is spending time with her family.
