Malvado Records

Strong Arm Management was established in Oakland, California during the early '90s. It was home to such diverse acts as Charizma & Peanut Butter Wolf, DJ Shadow, Homeliss Derilex, 10Bass T, Level, and Mother Hips. After landing a major label deal for Charizma & PB Wolf a major headache soon insued. Pure frustration from major label dealings led to the management company evolving into an independent record label. Malvado Records was created for the artists. The first release to drop on Malvado was by Charizma's favorite bay area crew the Homeliss Derilex. Malvado followed the HD's underground gem with several crtically acclaimed releases by The Odyssey, Kool DJ Rize, Fluke Starbucker, Otaku, and Ben Wa. Malvado will be bringing home the rock with a new release by The Sickerthings in November and a full-length by Bella in early 2005. For more info please check out www.malvado.com.
