About Me

I am afraid, due to my current occupation, I can not reveal much of my myself and my personal side. I apologize for this, and I am looking for another position, but for the time being I am unable to risk the possibility of my employer or those who work with me and the individuals whom I am in a position of authority over finding this page by accident and using it for the purpose of harassment. You see I have been given the dubious role of being the cheif disipline officer, hard ass, bad cop, or whip cracker. Because I have been given this part to play I have made many enemies. They are more bothersome then dagerous, but precautions must be taken.

To this end, I would ask that anyone who feels the need to leave a publically viewable comment on this site would please refer to me as Farnex, even if you know my true legal Christian moniker. I hope very soon to leave my current employer but till that happens I must hide behind the mask of Farnex and the pictures I put up. I apologize for the inconvienence. My Interests

My interests are simple. Movies and how they are made, So I watch alot of videos-DVD's and got to the movies a fair amount.
I also spend alot of time surfing the internet and still play video games from time to time.
I am a big reader, but do most of my reading while I am driving through books on CD. My last paper book I read was Allan Moore's V for Vendetta. I have too many books to read and I seem to be getting more. I don't watch much TV.
I also enjoy acting, doing voices, and making my friends laugh, as well as attending professional theater.
I am not much for the physical and the outdoors, but will participate in such activities from time to time.

I'd like to meet:

I didn't know what to do with this category. Is is who I want to meet on Myspace or famous people I want to meet someday. Well we'll start with the famous.
Famous folks I'd like to meet: George Lucas, Christie Brinkley, George Clooney, Dennis Muren, Barry Levinson, Robin Williams, Mark Hamil, Rob Paulsen, and Dean Koontz. The kind of people I like to meet in general are sincere but funny. They also share my interests in the film category and should be able to keep up with my obscure cinematic references. I don't have many friends...and by that I mean real, it's 3 A.M. and I need sombody to come and pick me up because my car broke down in the ghetto, friends. What I want more then anything is just people to watch movies with and talk with them about. I have yet to find that. I don't make new friends easily because I have been burned so badly by prior aquaintences taking advantage of me so many times that I don't trust easily. All of my friends I have known for 5 years or more. As for romantic reletionships I have never had a romantic partner because of my trust issues I never let anyone get that close to me. Part of me yearns for that companionship and part of me is terrified by it. I have lived all mylife doing what I wanted, going where I wanted, when I wanted for so long that a reletionship seems suffurcating to me. It is a paradox. If you are wondering who I consider my perfect mate then I would advise you to watch the first three American Pie films (Not Band Camp) and study the character of Michelle Anabeth Flarhety (The actress playing her, Alyson Hannigan, is cute but I am after the character not so much the actress). She is the closest thing I can realistically imagine as a person who might actually exist on this planet. I'd like to find a Nadia too who has a geek fetish, but they don't exist in that body. So I will continue to search, perhaps in vain but I will search.Your results:
You are Spider-Man Spider-Man 80% Hulk 75% Batman 50% Superman 50% Wonder Woman 37% Supergirl 37% Catwoman 35% Robin 32% Green Lantern 30% The Flash 30% Iron Man 20% You are intelligent, witty,
a bit geeky and have great
power and responsibility.

Music:

My music tastes are varied, but the only constant is that I am not a fan of rap. If I must listen to a song I will take the unbridled rage of Eminem's Stan. Otherwise, these are some the musical groups I enjoy listening to: Rilo Kiley, Meatloaf,"The Great" Luke Ski, Tom "World's Fastest Filker" Smith, composers John Williams and Danny Elfman, Capitol Steps, Garth Brooks, Tom Petty, Billy Joel, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Beatles, Monkees, Weird Al Yankovic, James Blunt, Tilly and the Wall, The Elected, Jenny Lewis w/ The Watson Twins,Spike Jonez, Bob Seger, White Stripes, Bright Eyes, a little Guns and Roses, The Postal Service, most 80's pop and some hair bands, Simon and Garfunkle, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Coldplay, Michael Crawford, Missing Persons, Rockapella, Queen, Van Halen, some Fatboy Slim, Paul Williams, Glen Yarbrough, Waren Zevon,80's early 90's Michael Jackson, some ABBA, They Might be Giants, The Who, Paul Simon, Genesis, The Proclaimers, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, and random movie soundtracks such as Pulp Fiction, Shrek and Moulin Rouge. and of course anything from the Henson era Muppets.Musicales such as: The Phantom of the Opera, Pippin, Cats, The Producers, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Coat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, Wicked, Evita, Starlight Express, Mamma Mia, Movin' out, and Tommy

Television:

I don't watch much TV, I mostly surf on the internet. I like most Sci-Fi shows, like the Star Treks, and Fire Fly. I also recently got hooked on Beauty on the Geek. I mainly just watch the news, a little bit of Leno/Lettermen/Conan, and maybe Jeopardy while I am cleaning up the kitchen

Books:

Ironic as it may seem I am writing about books from my local library's computer. I always find somthing else I need to do on my own home computer so I come here to do my myspace stuff with less personal distractions. I couldn't really say that I have an all time favorite book that changed my life and gave me a love of reading, but I do like to read. Here are some authors and books I like: AuthorsSteven King, Dean Koontz, Clive Barker, Kurt Vonnegut, Ray Bradbury, John Grisham, Michael Crichton James Patterson, Neil Gaiman, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R Tolkien, some Shakespere, and Dave Barry.GenreAs you can see from the above authors I am a sci-fiction/fantasy and horror fan, but I am trying to branch out. Books-single books and series I likedHarry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia , Dragon Lance series, Bunnicula and subseqeuntial books, Benji and the Power of Zingies, Graphic novels (own Watchmen, but havn't read it yet), Davinci Code, Stranger in a Strange Land, Great Gatzby, Brave New World, The orange film monster books found in the children's department and published by a Company called CrestwoodHouse (if you know what I am talking about and know how I could own a complete set before I die I will be very gratefull), Ed Emberly Art books, Star Wars extended universe novels, Some Star Trek Novels, The Catcher in the Rye, and good ole' brain rotting comic books.I also "read" most of my books in audio form on CD in my car. I get them from the library.

Heroes:

I have generally lost most of my faith the people around me and in humanity in general. Because of this I don't really have many heros, but I think you need a select few or else the quality suffers. I also feel there is a genuine difference between a hero and an idol. An Idol is thought highly of primarily because of their accomplishments and not on who they are as a person. Idol embody the dreams of their desiples and are often unreasonable or fantastic thing the idols have done. Some who might fall into the idol category for me are: George Lucas, Dennis Muren (ILM SPFX Pioneer), Film maker Kevin Smith, Bill Gates, and voice actor Rob Paulsen because he is from my home state. I know almost nothing about these men personally, but they have all done things and been places that I would like to do as well.A hero on the other hand is a person who I may know or feel I know and not only admire their acoomplishments but also their character. I focus not only what they have done but how they attained their accomplishments. I do not have many heros but I think I can say that I have three. My uncle Terry, My friend Josh (Yeah, that Josh), and the actor George Clooney. My uncle Terry is my hero for several reasons not the least of which was that he had the courage to not so much walk away or ignore the problems of his extended family but that he was able to see that what he wanted wasn't where he was and so he left. The rest of his brothers and sister stayed for the most part and I think some of us would have been better off if we had Terry willingness to dare great things instead of sticking close to home. He is the smartest man I personally know and probably also the wisest. He has faced so many demons of so many varieties that it seemed he was invincible. That is not the case...he is currentlly being besieged by several medical problems and he is in my prayers.Josh is a hero for a similar reason. Josh and I attended a television class together in High School and it was the best class I had ever taken. We have stayed semi-intouch and everything that I have ever wanted to do but was too afraid Josh has done and triumphed. We have both loved movies. I still would be terrified to move to L.A. and he did it. It was a hell of a risk but he did it. I kinda live vicariously through him. There is very little chance of me having children let alone grandchildren ,but if I do I wil probably tell them Josh stories instead of stories about my own life. I do not know George Clooney, but I have known some people who I trust who have had encounters with him. I also have read some the benevolent acts he has done for his fellow actors and fellow humans. I first heard about George's down to earth nature was from an aquaintence of mine who worked on the set of his film Out of Site. George would fratinize with everybody, shooting hoops in between takes and was great guy. The films other "star" Jennifer Lopez or as she was known on set "Miss Thang" was everything George wasn't. She demanded everybody vacate the craft services if she wished to visit it and stayed in her trailer the whole time. I continue to boycott Ms. Lopez's films for this reason. Two other acts Mr. Clooney did also lead me to place Mr. Cloony in the hero category. First, he wrote a personal note to an actor whose scene he was forced to cut from his directorila debut Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. He knows what it is like to be a working actor and the fact he did that means shows a lot about his character. Lastly, he just auctioned off his bag of Academy Award's swag bag. He gave the proceeds to help fund hurricane Katrina relief. George Clooney could easily fall into the trap of believing his own press and only do big budget unimportant pictuers and be the star he is but he remembers where he came from and still trys to make a difference. He is everything a man of influence should be. For more on St. George. goto http://www.clooneynetwork.com/integrity.shtml
