Tranquil played our second reunion show Oct 30th 2009, a test-run to see if a fully re-formed and rejuvenated band is in the works. Steve and I started playing together in high school, writing long instrumental songs but always with an ear toward something more concise and catchy. We weren't really a band until 2003 when Laci started singing, Jon added lead guitar and Kerry his bass and distinct artwork. Our atmospheric hard rock sound was quickly accepted by a variety of music fans, enabling us to play with lots of great local and touring bands.
By 2005, everyone was involved in different interests and musical directions. Through the four year break from playing together we've kept in touch, and all had time to grow as musicians. Steve has relocated to L.A. but his recent visit home prompted our first reunion in June, with a 'see what happens' attitude. The show was a big success and the first step to figuring out where things could be heading.
Now, we're creating new sounds and emotions from songs we've chosen to revisit with the help of our friend Zach on bass. Its great to have the chance to perform and enjoy these songs all over again, and we look forward to seeing everyone again in the future.
