It all started back in 1994, when three guys from Kråkerøy in Fredrikstad wanted to start a band. The name Spektralized came to life. Later in 1994, Spektralized released a demo-tape called "Genetic".
In 1997 Spektralized suffered from a lot of tension within the band. The band members disagreed on how to evolve the music. The result was a split. Richard Bjørklund decided to keep the Spektralized name and continued on his own. That was the start of the band as it is today.
New songs were born and soon after Spektralized appeared on the Norwegian compilation "Sex Goth and Electronics" with the track "Truth" mixed by Stephan Groth. Hard:Drive became interested in Spektralized and a few weeks later Hard: Drive decided to sign Spektralized.
Richard Bjørklund hooked up with Sebastian R. Komor (known form Icon Of Coil) and started working on the Spektralized debut album. Spektralized joined Icon Of Coil on their European tour in January 2003, with Assemblage 23. Then “Hard:Drive†licensed Spektralized to “Accession Records†in Germany.
Owe debut album ELEMENTS OF TRUTH went the right way and did a great success. Hard:Drive decided to quit the record label business, so Spektralized needed to lock for a new label. Spektralized got in contacted with the German record label Accession Records and asked if they were interested in signing them. Accession Records were more than interested to make a contract whit the guys, so they signed up and started to work on their new plans.
After a lot of delays, in 2006 the band was finally ready to release their second album called CAPTURE THE MOMENT. Capture The Moment became a great success and made it all the way to the top 5 ranking list for best albums 2007 at SAMA (Scandinavian Alternative Music Awards).
Now in 2010, Spektralized have ended the contract with the Accession Records, waiting to be signed by another label. They are now working with the record number three (The Puzzle) and if everything goes according to plan, The Puzzle will soon come to a store near you. :-)
