There are so many things about me that have changed for the better and in many ways still remain the same. One thing that I realized is that my one true passion is to help others but somehow, in finding the way to live out this passion, it has become a hinderance for me. I spend so much time helping others, that I forget to help myself and that's first and foremost.
To reduce the amount of questions that may come later on with the many people that may read this profile here are some basic things about me....
My first love is public speaking. Oddly, it is one thing that people fear most over death, but not I. I love open forums, addressing audiences and just talking period. It's what I'm good at and what I like to do. Next to that is organizing. If there is one skill that no one can take away from me, that's organizing. I like to write. Its one of the first things I learned to do as child, aside from reading. I'm a sci-fi/fantasy buff. I love medival movies, Old English, mermaids, witches, faeries, knights, trolls, gnomes, all that good stuff. I'll watch the Neverending Story before I watch American Gangster. That's just the way it is :)
I love to shop, travel, eat, enjoy culture and just all-around be creative. I'm not a hard person to please and I enjoy the simple pleasures of life, such as watching the little dipper form in the sky.
I'm single but not by choice, by happenstance. Timing is everything and I'm a little too far in age to just take on a relationship with someone just cause. I have many goals, and a few of them are listed in the "My Companies" section of this profile. If your interested, check them out; however, at some point I want to be the boss, not just be "cool" with the boss.
I have an emotional, shy, fiesty, loving, freaky and playful side. Some people have been afforded the opportunity to experience all of them, others have experienced some and the rest haven't even gotten that close. It's all in who I chose to let in "my space".
There are four life lessons that I have learned this year that I believe are valuable to everyone: (1) When opportunities comes your way, be on time, (2) Many of the jewels we call friends have a specific purpose in our lives, choose what it is and let it be; (3) To be on time is to be late but to early is to be on time and (4) Do not be afraid to do what makes you happy, even if it means cutting people off.
By no means am I perfect, like everyone, I still have many things to improve on; however, I am proud of myself for realizing what they are and working towards the improvements. Although I slip out sometimes, I am truly in a good place, what would really cap it off, is finishing my Masters degree and getting the event planning job of my dreams!
