You'll find me engrossed in a book or writing profusely from time to time. I write stories, poems, anything that my cluttered mind comes up with. I love to draw and paint...really anything artistic will indulge my desire to escape from boredom. I can't live without music. Music is a part of my soul. I'll play it, teach it, listen to it, anything. I have forced many friends in an innocent music appreciation lesson in the car while driving to go to movies, the beach, shopping, or on a long road trip. (Hmm...maybe that's why they don't really ask me to drive when we go out anymore... ) but anyway, I really enjoy outdoor activities like camping, hiking, fishing, boating, off-roading, swimming, building raging fires, drunken tent sleeping. Bowling and pool. Oh and the best evenings are doing completely useless things with the right people, even if it's just watching stars on the car hood, sitting on the swings in the park, driving around aimlessly in the dark, or sitting around a deck of playing cards; if you are with the right people you can do absolutely nothing and have the best time of your life.
Everything happens for a reason
I always sayIf there's someone out there I'm supposed to meet, it'll happen at the most inopportune time, in the most random situation, and most likely will be a completely spontaneous adventure. I find that when I meet people, I'm always up for a surprise. People I'd really like to meet would be Sandra Bullock, Bruce Willis, all living and dead members of Led Zeppelin, Carlos Santana, Mel Gibson, Adolf Hitler, George Washington, and maybe even Santa Claus.

Music is the breath of life to me......So where to start? I will listen to almost anything, and even the stuff I don't like I will listen to because I have conditioned myself to appreciate music for its elements and not just for face value. Classic rock is my favorite because I was raised on it, but I also enjoy alternative, soft, and hard rock, heavy metal, emo and punk, rap, country, oldies, classical, jazz and blues, 80s pop and soft rock, early 90s pop, and reggae. Some (and I greatly stress the term "some") of my favorite bands/groups/singers are: (and forgive the complete non-relation of genres to one another) Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, Santana, Bob Seger, Michael Stanley, Lynard Skynard, Tom Petty, The Eagles, Dashboard Confessional, Glassjaw, Foo Fighters, Fiona Apple, Alanis Morissette, Dunken Sheik, Garbage, Bush, Nirvana, ACDC, Aerosmith, Mushroomhead, Thrice, My Chemical Romance, The Lost Prophets, In Flames, Killswitch Engage, UnderOath, 311, Sublime, Radiohead, The Verve, Ben Folds, Five For Fighting, KoRn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, 3 Doors Down, Godsmack, Il Nino, Kansas, Rolling Stones, Earth/Wind/Fire, The Guess Who, Hoobastank, Atreyu, etc etc etc...the list is endless...if you really need to get into my brain and extract my musical knowledge we can save that for later.
I like drama, comedy, chick flicks, documentary or "real-life" stories. Action flicks and horror films are okay, but I really think that most of them are cheesy. I really enjoy suspenseful films and the classics. Some of my favorites include The Wizard of Oz, The Goonies, Stigmata, The Devil's Advocate, Lord of the Rings, 10 Things I Hate About You, 15 Minutes, The Bird Cage, Saw, Playing By Heart, Pearl Harbor, SuperTroopers, How High, Life As a House and many many more.
I try not to watch too much t.v. but when I do, I would rather watch the movie channels like HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, or Encore. I do like a few shows like That 70s Show, Law and Order: SVU, Weeds, Friends, The King of Queens, The Simpsons, Grey's Anatomy, Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, One Tree Hill, 8 Simple Rules, Lost, Related, The Ellen Degeneres Show, and of course I enjoy Jay and Conan.
I like thought provoking books. My favorite genre would be non fiction or fiction based on actual events or circumstances in history. I like anything that grabs your attention and keeps your interest to the last page. Spiritual or philisophical books are cool too. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Some books I've read recently are "The Kama Sutra" (if you're curious as to why, you can ask, Haha, go ahead.) "Helter Skelter" - Vincent Bugliosi, "The Celestine Prophecy" - James Redfield, "The Notebook" - Nicholas Sparks, and I really want to read "After the Hole" - Guy Burt, but I can't find that book anywhere. It might be out of print or something because it was on Amazon.com for about $150...yikes!
You're my hero. ;-)
