The Chicken Coup, located in north Minneapolis, is where youll find CBR stressed out and pushing buttons. Set in the basement of his wifes house, this home studio is decorated with cheap beer cans and wet laundry. With a cigarette in his hand and one still burning in the ashtray, this multi-talented hermit is busy mixing down his bands second album. Along with Suspence, CBR is one of the producers and emcees for iLL STATE, a four man group, also consisting of AZL and DJ Switch. Using a wide variety of busted equipment, Chicken Bone Riff achieves a sonic landscape of dark, tormented bliss over heavy head nod beats. There is no doubt that he has created a sound that is all his own, and his alone.
