About Me

CHAPTER 4: Two farmers growing lettuce up in Petaluma turned a Castaway trailor into a studio. The result is a refreshing taste of bitter for your ear drums. The kind of music that makes you live forever. CHAPTER 5: After nine charming, farming months on the Line, jeremy has hung up the tractor keys for the time being and entered the hospitaliity business. his long gone, parepatetic "cowboy amigo," willy, after nearly becoming a parody of one of his songs on the long stretches of highway between here and spain, has stumbled upon the biofuel world in pittsboro north carolina. the result is a large span of earth between the bitter greens and a music that trickles and floods and ripples on. CHAPTER 6: Ethno-botany based agricultural village conjured in the spirit of Oneida and James Howard Kunstler; bunk beds made by hand for guests; fermenteria opened with kombuchas, krauts, kimchis, and sweet potato soda.

nervous attack

Driving through the night, radio singing townes van zandt, fading vision, dull clouds in the night, slick asphalt weaving through black trees, a storm darker than a bard owl's eye, he nearly ran over ...

White Cow

After a balmy November, the rains came deliberately one afternoon, and by midnight the burnt Petaluma hills still hadn't opened their pores to the pounding.  Water filled in between tufts of brow...

Native American Mythology

Clay, Quentin, and Dave were in the Eastern Sierras, cooking trout along a mid-sized camper bus.   They called the bus the Slave Ship, because their cots were tiny and stacked on top of each...

a cold war short

Late one night, an old 40s sedan was parked alongside ours.  The landscape was asphalt - an airport parking lot.  No other cars in sight, yellow light coming fr...

mudface

Staring at the sky in soft ripples, miles from a road on a crisp sunny fall Friday in North Carolina, I had an argument. I drew a face with the clay by the shore. I heard it begin to ram...
