35 minutes of eclectro-psychedelic music mixing accoustic and electronic instruments, old Moog, drums, beatbox, sampling, guitars, and vocals with the help of fantastic guest such as Runigga , Louise Vertigo, John "Los Calaveras", Guillaume Rossel and Xinbo. Check out the duo Motel *** and their kaleidoscopic eclectro-psychedelic sound, a blend of the bewitchment of the seventies, the coldness of the eighties and the break beats from the nineties, all in all its thirty years of influences which go together nicely to create something modern. Their album, released in France in March 2005 and in Russia in October of the same year, was hailed by critics. Sofa, one of its songs, won the Qwartz Electronic Awards 2006, in the title category ( www.qwartz.org ).
Born in the punk-rock/new wave scene sometime between the 80s-90s period, the two members of Motel *** are hardened to playing live, something that they execute with great pleasure and devotion.
On stage the two associates mix acidic electronic sounds with organic acoustic instruments. They are accompanied by a mind-blowing MC (Runigga), an innovative percussionist (Shumystyle) and their magical lighting engineer (Sam), all of whom go towards taking the show into another dimension.
Their secret: anything that they can lay their hands on, organic or electronic: guitars, basses, double basses, flutes, keyboards (from the 70s and 80s), samplers, a vast record collection, some effects Finally most important of all: ears, two brains, and a lot of madness.
