Junkman's choir

About Me

The Junkman's Choir formed at the tail end of 2003. The original members were Johnny Gator and Davie, who had been writing songs together since the days of Dub Skelper. They were joined by Davie's brother and co-founder of Nyah Fearties, Stephen Feartie (after 10 years in Germany he had become even more insane and was now calling himself "Mr. Luggs"). Their debut album - "Howlin' Heavin Shanties" was recorded with the mysterious Pama Dice on guitar. This line up remained intact for near to two years - touring in Germany, London and their native Scotland. When the time came to record another album, Pama Dice pulled his cloak over his face and vanished and Mr. Luggs was forced to take a hiatus due to other commitments. The young whippersnapper Lou Garoux was drafted in to play percussion in the absence of the one they call Luggs. The next several months was spent crafting the new album (available www.junkmanschoir.co.uk). Now ladies and gentleman, children of all ages - the Junkmen make their triumphant return to the stage, with the return of Mr. Luggs and Lou Garoux's switch to guitar. Look out for these Ayrshire loonies on the street, on a stage, anywhere they can find stomping out their steel-toed rhythm and geein' it laldy. ..
