twila.too is a belgian singer, songwriter and composer. she lives in cologne since 2001, where she quickly took her place in the electronic scene. involved in several projects for labels as WARE, MINISTRY OF SOUND, SERVE & DESTROY and BMG she put her voice on different shades of music, from house to downbeat electronix and drum´n´bass. in her collaborations, we can count the names of AIR LIQUIDE, BOB HUMID, DECOMPOSED SUBSONIC, BORIS POLONSKI, HENDRIK MEIER & TWINPATH. her own debut-album is currently in the state of production and will hopefully see the light in 2006. twila.too did always put a certain importance and pleasure in playing live. she has experienced the stage-performance many times during the last years, mainly exploring electronic music and further back, indie-rock. in 2001 / 2002, she performed along with BOB HUMID on his album-tour for the very highly acclaimed „twisted repairs / despairs“ albums on SERVE & DESTROY / GROOVE ATTACK. together they performed live-sets at WMF, SENSOR, MOBILAT, GOLDEN PUDELS, UNIQUE, DISTILLERY and on countless other parties in germany´s suburbia. with sensitiveness and magic, twila.too knows her stuff and is an experienced guide in leading the listeners through an universe of dream and atmospherical beauty. along with bob humid she has lately formed the subbass-driven, song-orientated house-project FEATHERWEIGHT.
BOB HUMID´s bio is an eclectic & chaotic mess. he has had by far too many different jobs in the past so his admirers can hardly count his activities. so let´s just pick up some which are related to music: he was one third of the legendary „EBM meets Kunstlied“-formation DER LIEDERKRANZ back in the late 80ies, early 90ies. he designed some of the most confusing, yet very entertaining SYNTHESIZERSTUDIO BONN (legendary DIRK MATTEN´s world´s first exclusive synthesizer-shop (formerly MATTEN & WIECHERS) which technically equipped bands like KRAFTWERK, KLAUS SCHULZE, EDGAR FROESE, CONNY PLANK, PYROLATOR and many more) -advertisements in the mid 90ies (the late phase of SSB). he has organised & co-organised some of the most ass-kicking party-venues of cologne´s electronic underground (MOS EISLEY (with DJ TETSUO), TWIST´n´SHOUT (with UH-YOUNG KIM), IS IT NOW?, RADICAL LOVE AREA and VECTRAX (with TELEKOLLECK) and run 2 electronic labels namely BORED BEYOND BELIEF (with WOLFGANG SCHRECK from BIG NOISE fame) and SERVE & DESTROY RECORDINGS which always easily gained excellent reputations for even minimal budget-equipped exclusive releases. Bob was also the technical editor for the german GROOVE magazine for almost 7 years as a successor of Christian Rindermann (aka C´ROCK) and he gained tons of credits in german KEYBOARDS magazine where he occasionally shares his technological production skills and phenomenological views on production techniques with other audio junkies. along testing studio & dj gear he is known for being a tight producer with a strong affinity for detail and dedication and also took care of the mastering issues of BOXER SPORT, WARE RECORDS, PAGODA London. for example he recently mastered the album-cuts on OLIVER TWIST´s "KOOPEREATIONEN" (Rewika UK). Bob did also some ill sound-design for NATIVE INSTRUMENTS on the SYNTHETIC DRUMS 1 & 2 series that you might want to check out if you are into any beat-production. he is known to be a tweaked and original remixer (DJAMEL LAROUSSI „etoile filante / deep down in the desert bounce“, COLOMA „the second closer still - 3rd blade remix“) or MATHEW MERCER´s "LikeLike" (Bob Humid´s Stemmer Rmx). he is currently working on new stuff for COAD AUDIO. thus resembles to be a platform managed by UNIT and DATACH´I some streetwise electronic upfront renegades from the CAIPIRINHA camp. Bob restarted production on TWILA.TOO´s debut-album in 2006 and currently finished recordings on his album-follower to TWISTED REPAIRS/DESPAIRS named „SECOND WIND PHENOMENON“ (out in 2006) which he has announced to be „one hell of an electro-acoustical ride featuring some very special guests not to be so expected there.“. besides the aformentioned activities he is currently setting up a brandnew studio along with his partner in crime and dub-master NUMINOS (aka Christian Kalinovski) in cologne´s very centre. this will become the home of the "FAT OF EXCELLENCE production services" brandmark he used in the past.
