Flying, aerospace, outdoors stuff, treasure-hunting, fishing, and exploring new places. Upbeat and up-lifting music, goofing off, strategy games, building stuff - it all has to be with friends though; some of my music I like to be alone for, but that's about it.
I'm You'll know your best friend after a minute better than others you've known for all your life. Friends aren't trophies, their blossoms in the garden of your life - care for them. Isn't that sappy? (It's true though) Courtesy of ChristianClips.com
Jeremy Camp, Third Day, Switch foot, Day of Fire, Newsboys, Tree63, Casting Crowns, Creed, Need to Breathe -anything upbeat that you can drive to. Can't stand rap or R&B. Pretty much everything else is okay in moderation.
Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Master and Commander, the Truman Show, Napolean Dynamite, Chronicles of Narnia was pretty good, American Treasure was good, umm.. I'll think of others later. I like watching funny stuff with friends, and the theater's always better for action and adventure.
I used to watch Star Trek the Next Generation all the time, but I don't have cable and now I'm forced to watch such reality t.v. shows as American Idol (which gets old), and the new game show "Deal or No Deal". It's amazing the goofballs they put on these shows. Robot chicken, Invader Zimm. I always watched M.A.S.H. with my grandpa as a kid. I don't watch t.v. all that much anymore 'cause I don't have too much time for it. Duck Tales and Tale Spin were my favorite old-school cartoons.
Bible, the Hobbit, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Treasure Island, Ender's Game, Patrick McManus books, old-school Calvin & Hobbs fan.
I have a lot of unofficial "mentors", and many whom I admire, but very few have been elevated to the status of "Hero". My grandfather was a hero because he helped raise my sister and myself as though we were his own kids while we were going through the hardest part of our lives - my parents' divorce. He treated us more like fellow adults and dear friends than kids. I learned almost everything I know and value from him, and so I call him my best friend. He also kept me firmly rooted in a deep relationship with Jesus, which I could not live without. My friend Mike is also kind of a hero. In him I have a good friend and someone I look up to when it comes to responsibility and a Christ-like additude. I admire him for his devotion towards being honorable despite circumstances in all aspects of his life that I have seen. He's been there when I needed a friend and kicks butt in Halo and other related essential online games. Good friends are hard to find. Heroes all the more.BarlowGirl - I Believe In Love From the album How Can We Be SilentI Believe In Love How long will my prayers seem unanswered Is there still faith in me to reach the end I'm feeling doubt I'm losing faith But giving up would cost me everythingSo I'll stand in the pain and the silence And I'll speak to the dark night.Chorus I believe in the sun even when it's not shining I believe in love even when I don't feel it And I believe in God even when He is silent And I, I believeThough I can't see my stories ending That doesn't mean the dark night has no end Its only here that I find faith And learn to trust the one who writes my daysSo I'll stand in the pain and the silence And I'll speak to the dark nightChorusNo dark can consume Light No death greater than this Life We are not forgotten Hope is found when we sayEven when He is silentChorus
