Anyone who thinks they have anything remotely in common with me... If you're going to ask to be added to my friends list and I don't already know you, however, please introduce yourself first. If you are a fascist or racist or believe that the oppression of any one people by another can be justified then I don't want to hear from you thanks very much. In the words of the Dead Kennedys/Napalm Death, "Nazi punks fuck off!"
I've been a big heavy metal/hard rock fan ever since I first heard Guns N' Roses' "Appetite For Destruction" for the first time when I was 7. Through the years I've gradually developed more "extreme" tastes in metal from the likes of Metallica and Megadeth onto Pantera and Sepultura, then from then onto Deicide and Cannibal Corpse a few years later, slowly progressing to the likes of Nile, Pig Destroyer, Abaddon Incarnate etc etc. I still thoroughly enjoy a lot of commercial metal/rock, and have a broad interest in the varying genres of extreme metal, from Death to Doom, Black to Grindcore, NWOAHM, Swedish DM etc. I also enjoy listening to other types of music, anything from flamenco to reggae, traditional Irish to African, etc.Just some of the bands/artists I like:- Abaddon Incarnate - Ackercocke - ACDC - Aerosmith - Alice In Chains - Am I Blood - Amon Amarth - Anata - Anathema - Angelwitch - Arch Enemy - At The Gates - Audioslave - Biohazard - Black Sabbath - Bon Jovi - Brutal Truth - Calamento - Cannibal Corpse - Carcass - Century - Children Of Bodom - Chimaira - Cradle Of Filth - Dark Tranquility - Death - Decapitated - Deftones - Deicide - Emperor - Eyesclosed - Faith No More - Geasa - Guns N’ Roses - Hexxed - High on Fire - In Flames - Iron Maiden - Katatonia - Killswitch Engage - Machetazo - Machine Head - Marduk - Mastadon - Megadeth - Metallica - Morbid Angel - Motörhead - My Dying Bride - Mourning Beloveth - Nest - Nile - Nirvana - Novembre - Om - One Minute Silence - Opeth - Pain Of Salvation - Pantera - Paradise Lost - Parhelia - Pearl Jam - Pig Destroyer - P.O.D. - Poison - Primordial - Puddle Of Mudd - Rage Against The Machine - Rammstein - Rapture - Red Hot Chili Peppers - Reverend Bizarre - Rodrigo y Gabriela - Rotting Christ - Sepultura - Six Feet Under - Slayer - Slipknot - Soilwork - Sol Axis - Soundgarden - Stone Temple Pilots - Strapping Young Lad - Swallow The Sun - System Of A Down - Testament - The Darkness - The Dillinger Escape Plan - The Forsaken - Therapy? - The Sleeping - The State Pathologist Dr. John Harbison - Thin Lizzy - Today Is The Day - Type O Negative - Velvet Revolver - While Heaven Wept - White Zombie - Wreck Of The Hesperus

I'll watch just about anything. Except horse-racing. Or snooker or cricket.
Not a big reader of books I'm afraid.
The first person that springs to mind is James Hetfield simply because he was my biggest hero for such a long time, but I wouldn't consider him in the same way any more... Other heroes? I dunno, Mary Robinson, Nelson Mandella, anyone who opposes and strives to end human rights violations anywhere in the world.
