OFFBEAT HEROES, politically charged Skacore/punk/reggae, have been together just over two years now. they have completed a 1 month long UK tour back in 2007 in which they travelled from lands end to the shetland isles. the first tour was a success and they made many friends along the way which benefited them later on in the future.Materialwise, they have recorded an 11track album 'Liberation Theory' which was recorded in robins bedroom by james exley. Furthermore the beginning of 2008 saw the offbeats move into Tower studio's, Pershore to record 6 tracks for an EP which will due to be released at some point. 2008 has brought good things so far, with a series of gigs booked for 'LoveMusicHateRacism' and PUMPKIN RECORDS letting us join the collective.
Unfortunatly one month before we were due to set off for our European tour Ciaran our original drummer had to leave us, to pursue his career as a session drummer, which meant we had to find a replacment drummer for our summer tour. we called in martin (ex kamikaze sperm) and with martin, we also gained jake (guitar) and beanie (alto sax) which beefed up the offbeat line up for 2008. August 2008 saw the Offbeat heroes return fromt he their 6 week DIY european trip. travelling from bideford (devon) to the zvera festival in latvia. and picking off countries such as France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Czech republic, Slovakia, Lithuania in between. The final show of the tour was up in scotland for GASHfest. it was the perfect end to the tour and the best way to say goodbye and thanks to beanie, jake and most of all martin for giving us an incredible 6weeks! Offbeat heroes are taking a break for the moment to re-group and write some stuff. We will be back!!
