My life is now, what I wanted it to be, since I have been envisioning it this way for the past decade. Time to set my sights on what I want next.BUT FIRST, Check out this video for THE WISHMAKERS

....................
Closest to my heart: I have a great family: my wife Ginger, and my 2 year old son, Gabriel, are the core of my world.....................
To teach: I really enjoy teaching music, and this occupies my weekdays, Monday through Thursday. I teach Piano, Guitar, Drums, Bass, and recording concepts, but it is when I get the chance to teach life lessons, that I feel I excel.
....................
To perform: While I am not overly outgoing, in fact, I could be viewed as an introvert in many cases of my past, I do get the chance to stand onstage, quite often, and share what I love....
I play with some really terrific people, and great friends. With my buddies Jim Roberti and Paul Cipriano, I happily entertain terrific audiences in NYC and PA, as well as other places.... Our last two shows, which were in Chicago, were tons of fun.
I usually flash a bass guitar, and enjoy the array of vocal harmonies I chooses to sing... but on the occasions of playing with two other local talented musicians, Kevin and Toby, I play lead guitar and keyboards.....................
To Record: One dream has evolved. I have built a 1500 sq. foot recording studio next to my house, and while the process certainly tested my patience, the result is a comfortable, and expected ride into my self created world.
NEW HORIZON MUSIC houses both a studio and small teaching facility, where I can combine two passions, while setting my sights on hiring additional teachers and engineers to keep the music playing here, while I am off making music in other places.
....................
To Write and Produce: At the top of this resume, would be my work with the band SHADOW GALLERY, where I am surrounded by breath taking talent. I have been working hard on records with this band since 1993, and am many times in the captains chair... but the results could not be found without the collective writing, performing and singing abilities of my friends. SG has released 5 albums now and we soon are ready to embark on our 6th. SHADOW GALLERY summarizes our desires and abilities to create music based on ART's Sake, not compromised or altered by our cultures pressures in releasing commercial music with the primary goal of selling as much as possible.
We create the music for ourselves, without boundaries or limitations, and allow those who can appreciate it, to do so, in the same way that we do.
if you are moved to do so, check out our releases with Inside Out music and Magna Carta records, and expect to like what we like.
....................
To branch out: While Shadow Gallery may be at the core of my recording efforts, I have enjoyed being a part of an additional 100 records, including working with many people I have had great respect for. Short of listing it all here, which would include Local and Global released records, I will mention my guitar solo contributions to the band AYREON and STAR ONE, who is run by my friend, the superbly talented Arjen Lucassen.
Also, I have a new album coming out in June by the name of AMARAN'S PLIGHT, and the name of the album is VOICE IN THE LIGHT.. this is progressive rock, like Shadow Gallery, but with the styles branching out a little further.
....................
To enjoy the wit: I like being a fast thinker, and I am sometimes at my best when I am comfortable enough to respond at lightning speed, should it be my wit (me being a smart-ass), or improvising on a silent, inviting piano.....................
To Learn and Grow: When I was younger, my goals all revolved around becoming a better musician. I never thought I was particularly accomplished, but always knew that I would be. Music always came extremely easy for me, as if I always already knew how to play, articulate, and express myself on any instrument of my choosing... It only felt as if I had to remember how to do so.... This of course does not mean that I did not practice... I certainly did, but did so knowing that I would accomplish any musical goal I sought after.
But in the last 6 or 7 years, I have realized it is much more important to become a better person. The world is full of great musicians, and artists and people affluent on all aspects found in our culture... but If I could become a better person all around, I could have more impact in many more ways. So this is what I have set my sights on, and I have noticed my improvements, my accomplishments, my achievements, and this inspires me greatly to continue on this path.
....................
To Diversify: If were to write my own history (well, I am) and I had to choose the adjectives that describe my past, and direct my now, and my future, I would embrace the words "diverse, creative, analytical, detailed, positive, happy, varied, unpredictable, influential, eager, ambitious, and determined"
....................
My influences range... now, I try to find influence in everyone I meet, knowing that everyone is, or can be of equal importance to me if I allow it.
Jesus has always been my top role model... When I am unsure what to do, I often think "what would Jesus do" His words, his kindness, his attitude- everything about him exemplifies where I wish to set my aim in decision making.. I am not extremely spiritual however and do not spend a lot of time in church or in prayer, but I do strongly believe in his influence, and it keeps me focused, especially during the clouded moments.
I have been very much self taught with all things regarding music, and this is due to my analytical thinking... I look for, and can find logic in most things in life... but music, seems totally logical to me, yet it is embraced and encompassed within passion and emotion, and this merging is what is so attractive to me, and why I am so compelled to remain close to creating, teaching, and sharing music... But I do recall and remember the influence of my other teachers in life... My parents, and very specific moments in my childhood stand out to me when they made a life-long impact... where they said something that stayed with me forever and helped define who I was to become..
Also, my other teachers, in school, the ones who made the extra effort in finding ways to keep uninteresting subjects fun, and exciting.
Musically, I do have a long list of influences... but Chris Alia, who was a local guitarist, who I saw play once or twice when I was at an impressionable age, made the biggest mark on me, and after that, I realized that I could do, and had to do, what I HAD TO DO... he helped me realized the extent of guitar playing, and how potent it could be... he also stretched my imagination at how far one could go with their technique.. and when I realized that not only was it possible for ME to play like that, but it was LIKELY that I would, I realized only TIME was in my way from achieving the same results.
I lost touch with Chris since 1986 (since that time i heard him jam out in my house), and even though I searched for him throughout my teen years, I was not to be reunited with him until this past year... He plays a guest solo on the AMARAN's PLIGHT record, if you want to hear how amazing he is.....................
My next influence could be from YOU.
I hope it is.
and I hope I can return the favor.
Life just really makes sense to me right now, and I am enjoying it more than ever...
But what really puts it all over the edge is my son Gabriel, who is currently 20 months old... I fall more and more in love with him every day. I am equal to the task of being the best father that ever existed, and glad he has chosen me to be his dad.
I look forward to tomorrow, but I love today. The World is mine, and I have a lot to create. I hope my results can create emotional waves in your life, as I am all in favor of keeping Love and optimism at the foundation of my actions.
Have I had Good Luck?
