MUSIC LAB in Austin, TX has two locations equipped to satisfy the rehearsal, recording and production needs of the Austin musical community as well as national and regional touring acts. Our 85,000 square feet and 125 rooms of studio space can accomodate hourly rehearsals to full touring preproduction and virtually anything in between.
Our 500 E. ST. ELMO RD. complex houses hourly and lockout rooms, our large production studios, a full ProTools recording studio, retail store and full backline rental and sound reinforcement department.
Our RECORDING STUDIO offers competitive rates, the latest digital and vintage analog gear and is capable of handling demo projects as well as fully produced CDs. Grammy-nominated Chief Engineer Tim Gerron and his staff bring a wealth of experience to any project. Need a Hammond B3, Wurlitzer piano or Marshall stack for your session? Don't haul it, use ours! Our fully stocked in-house rental dept. can provide gear for your recording project at discounted rates.
Our large PRODUCTION STUDIOS are perfectly suited for large-scale recording projects, rehearsals, video shoots and touring preproduction. Unique in the central Texas area, these large suites feature large overhead loading doors, wireless internet, carpeted and bare floor configurations and private entrances and restrooms. Full staging and sound systems are available as is access to the rental dept. for any backline needs.
Need to rent gear for an hour, a week, a fly date or a tour? MUSIC LAB RENTALS has a vast inventory of clean, well maintained gear that is second to none in Central Texas. We stock Hammond B3 & C3, Leslie, Nord, Roland, Kurzweil, Rhodes, Korg and Yamaha keyboards, Pearl, DW, Ludwig, Yamaha, Mapex, Premier, Taye and Fibes drums, LP and Toca percussion, Zildjian, Paiste and Sabian cymbals, amplifiers by Ampeg, Mesa, Fender, Marshall, SWR, Peavey, Gallien Krueger and Roland, QSC Audio, Audio Technica mics and wireless and much more. Our 1306 WEST OLTORF STREET location offers rehearsals, another retail store and our DUPLICATION CENTER. Record your tracks at our studio or your own and bring them to Manager Sonny Bishop. You'll get personal attention, quick turnaround and the help you'll need to make your project really stand out.
The MUSIC LAB ownership and staff is made up almost entirely of musicians and we're in business to help musicians. You will always find the staff ready to assist you with courtesy and respect, whether you're just starting out or are signed to a major label.
