Pablo Antonio started singing at a very young age. His first musical experience was with a family band 'Explosion' when he was just 10 years old. Pablo Antonio has been a member of some of the DC area’s best bands. In 1998, along with some musician friends, they founded Pablo Antonio y La Firma.
Since its inception, Pablo Antonio y La Firma has been one of the most respected bands in the DC area due to their punctuality, professionalism and music quality. These qualities have allowed them the opportunity to participate in important festivals such as Calle Ocho in Miami as well as many others throughout the country.
Pablo Antonio y La Firma is a 12 piece Latin band whose forte is Merengue. However, being in such a diverse area, they also play other tropical rythms including Salsa, Cumbia and Bachata. The band is made up of talented musicians from different parts of the world and this gives Pablo Antonio y La Firma’s music, original or not, an international flavor like no other. At present, Pablo Antonio y La Firma is the premiere choice among promoters, club owners and private event organizers in the DC area.
The band’s repertoire consists of original material as well as cover songs from many of today’s hottest artists in the genres previously mentioned. In 2000, Pablo Antonio y La Firma released their first independently produced CD entitled “Al Natural†with all original material. This initial homemade production opened many doors for Pablo Antonio y La Firma. As of October 5, 2007, Pablo Antonio y La Firma fans haven been enjoying the latest installment of their music. The newly released “Mi Princesa†CD includes two tracks which were recorded at Jampr Studios in Bayamón, Puerto Rico and produced by three time Grammy winning producer Freddie Méndez.
