Arcana Moon was founded in march 2001 by the equal named singer and her former partner of a spontaneous idea. They got to know each other in a chat. Since both of them shared the same enthusiasm for music, they decided to found a project in the gothic genre. He produced the music while both wrote the texts and performed together. These songs were released at mp3.de for free download.
Sadly the points of quarrel about technical and music-style aspects and the identification with the music increased within the time. After all the project broke in pieces in september of the same year.
Arcana doesn't regret that time, because it were her beginning and entry to the music...
Within a short period of time "Arcana Moon" gained an astonishly high name recognition and popularity in the german underground.
Arcana Moon use many different music styles which partially flow into each other. They don't try hold on to one genre but rather to create the fitting style for each and every song. By this Arcana Moon yet cover a big musicial spectrum, which won't change in the future for sure.
Quotation of the band: "We will keep experimenting with different music styles in the future and deciding individual for each song in what kind of musicial robe we want to dress it. Our music is a mirror of our innermost and no mass production. We are still in the beginnings and yet right in the middle of it... We won't stop until our hearts become silent or nobody wants to receive our message any more..."
December 2004 the debut-album "Impressionen" was finally published after many delays and obstacles . Arcana Moon took pressing and publication of the CD into their own hands, because they still hadn't signed any contract with some label yet. With this album Arcana Moon killed two birds with one stone, because "Impressionen" acts as promotion for labels and magazines, and as official debut album at the same time. Because "Impressionen" serves at the same time as promo for labels and magazines, and as official debut album.
Since 02/12/2005 the first album "Impressionen" is sold by SX Distribution. Therefore our cd can be buyed at internet-shops like "amazon.de", "wom.de" and scene-mailorders like "infrarot.de", "indietective.de", "martz-mailorder.de" and more.
There was a lot of positive feedback to that CD from print- and internet-magazines and radios. Surprisingly, Arcana Moon again and again determine that their music finds to favor also in non-german-language abroad. Like that they already sent CDs into many european states (like Netherlands & France), to Japan and into the USA, despite the fact on this album are excluding only german-language songs.
