It has come to our attention that our name is incredibly hard to promounceThis is mostly because we hear people say it wrong all the time. In fact theres only a few people that say it right. Its pronounced
"Tab. You. La. ... Ra. Sa."
C'mon guys... its not that hard.
About Our Name
The term that we based our name off of is "Tabula Rasa" (Latin:"blank slate") is the notion that individual human beings are born "blank" (with no built-in mental content), and that their identity is defined entirely by events after birth.
This basically means that we are the authors of our own souls...
Another interpretation of it is we are viewed by society as empty heads, and that as the duty of society states, they must cram in their beliefs into empty heads.
Now our beginings...
Tabula Rasa started deep in the jungles of Jamacia with one bone flute and a drum made out of a Chinchilla. Looking to expand their musical horizons, the founding members jumped on a slave ship and headed to America. It just so happened that they ended up landing in Annapolis, Maryland. They now have discovered the wonders of electricity and even have electric instruments. And here we are....
