Some drink at the fountain of knowledge....others just gargle.

About Me

I'm a single mom of the *THE* most beautiful girl in the world. Her dad chooses not to be around, but that's ok...his loss BIG TIME. Deadbeat dads only hurt their children. Enough said.I'm a 3rd grade teacher, and I love every minute of it! My students entertain me for hours on end. What's not to love about spending the day with a group of kids who adore you, and then sending them home at 2 p.m.?..Visit this website and sign up, because it's not too late....yet. http://www.stopglobalwarming.org/

My Interests

My interests and hobbies include going to baseball games (Go Halos!), camping, listening to the waves crash against the shore as my toes dig deeper into the warm sand, beachcombing for "treasures," anything Disney (especially Mickey Mouse and Stitch), enjoying an ice-cold beer after the yardwork is done, The Fenians (don't know? ask, silly...), and my new favorite thing is going to the gym for a good workout session.

I'd like to meet:

Men with IQ's that are slightly above those maintained by houseplants and soap dishes, who are financially AND emotionally stable, and are single and available. Hey, a girl can dream, can't she?

Music:

Are you fer realz? I can't possibly name all of the groups I listen to. I love classic rock, especially The Eagles. I was a child of the 80's, so pick any 1980's era "New Wave" band, and you'll probably be right (yeah, that includes A Flock of Seagulls, Depeche Mode, and Duran Duran). Current faves include Gwen Stefani, Blink 182, and anything non-Emo. I could be just as happy at a Dixie Chicks concert as at a Metallica show. It all depends on my mood. I love The Fenians (www.thefenians.com), and lately, I've been getting into the flamenco guitar sounds of Benise. I told you I couldn't come up with a definitive list! A little of everything...how's that grab you?

Movies:

Anything starring Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore, Will Ferrell, or Jim Carey are my first choices. I also like sappy chick flicks and Disney animated films. I'm not a sci-fi fan, but I love "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. I'll pass on the horror fims and psychological thrillers. Life is scary enough.

Television:

I admit it. I'm a reality show junkie. I honestly plan my week so that I won't be bothered during "Survivor" on Thursday nights. I always make time for "Mind of Mencia." Carlos rocks! "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives" are favorites, too. On Monday nights, you'll find me catching up with the girls from "The Hills." Friday nights are made for "Most Haunted."

Books:

The Daily Five: Fostering Literacy Independence in the Elementary Grades -- by "The Sisters" (Gail Boushey and Joan Moser).................................Practice with Purpose: Literacy Work Stations for Grades 3-6 -- by Debbie Dillar................................ Children's books by Jan Brett, E.B. White, Louis Sachar, Roald Dahl, Dav Pilkey, Patricia Polacco, Beverly Cleary, Dr. Seuss, Tomie dePaola, Mem Fox, Shel Silverstein, and many, many others!
