"From just up the road in Spartanburg hails alt-metal outfit Headsnap, a contender in the “next big thing†sweepstakes in South Carolina. The quintet is garnering some major-label interest after an appearance on the Warped Tour and has generated buzz in its supporting roles for Hoobastank, Saliva and Trapt. Mixing the melodic sense of Southern counterparts Shinedown and the growl and speed of Underoath, Headsnap has built a respectable regional following. The song “A Second in Time†is a perfect example why — easy to sing along with after only a couple of listens, but metal enough to make you want to throw up your rock fist.
