My Interests

These days I'm interested in anything that is life. Movies are great but smiles are better. Games are fun but laughing out loud with friends is so much more. Eating out, climbing rocks, crashing boards, and sleeping in are awesome. Doing homework never ends so any time for fun is in. Holidays are super- with family is better. Single is great but marriage is super. I like truffles...

I'd like to meet:

Friends, amir, matt redman, c.s. lewis, g.k. chesterton,
dwayne wade, superman, ben folds five, soren kierkegaard
ben harper, the inventor of the slinky and gak...

Music:

apparently i like the lighter stuff: further seems forever, jeremy riddle, needtobreathe, vineyard u.k., snow patrol, mae, leeland, dashboard, caedmon's call, poor old lu, postal service, derek webb, enter the worship circle, desperation, blues traveler, jars of clay (always good), dcb, jason upton, u2, mutemath coldplay, todd agnew, vineyard usa, lifehouse, the fray, john mayer, rich mullins, orange tree, brenton brown, mat kearney, louis armstrong, hillsong united, 89.3 jazz... i'm not into screaming in my music to much, but i can handle it if necessary, if you catch me at the right time i might be listening to p.o.d. still because i'm sold on their 'testify' album with sweet vocals by Matisyahu on "roots in stereo" and "strength of my life"...

Movies:

MOST RECENT: Spiderman 3, curious george, lost season one on dvdIN GENERAL: Anything pixar (love monsters inc), bloodsport (represent the drama! not the plot), most interested in movies that carry an odd plot, or deep plot such as: a series of unfortunate events, lady in the water, signs, luther, never ending story, james & the giant peach, napolean dynamite, lor, bourne identity & supremacy, labryinth, march of the penguins (maybe there is a plot)...

Television:

ALL WE HAVE is fox, some cool stations i can't translate, and retro jams...We do watch lost seasons 1 and 2 on dvd...

Playing at Faith

Unpolished Religious Experiences

Recently, I heard the stories of several people who during a conference of sorts, came to sense God was guiding them to a point of sorrow, apology and forgiveness. Several different voices agreed that...

It's not easy bein green (or whatever)

Each attempt to think aloud seems to be stunted at different levels, and so this thought is long been forthcoming (hopefully that makes sense). Kermit the frog sang "It's Not Easy Bein' Green" alongsi...

Possessions, Unity & Culture

One of my hobbies and absolute thrills has been expressing my reflections with friends. I have done much more inward work with little outward expression for the past several weeks. We enjoyed a great ...

Simply Walking In Your Ways

My life is more. I realize that there is a part of me just interested in being simple. The truth is our culture doesn't really thrive on a simple economy, simple entertainment, simple recreation or a ...

Today those girls slain in the Amish area have been laid to rest. I still don't know how to respond to what happened and I don't have answers. Several days ago in Bailey Colorado, close to myself and ...

Christendom misses the point - what's your approach?

Many who call themselves "Christians" ascribe to a view of their faith that places Christianity as the religion of choice or majority in the U.S. I'm not sure if people really believe that or if they...

Superman why do we need you?

I was nervous. There's a part of me that loves Superman and I believe I acquired a lot of it from good friends who collected comics. There is another part of me that shudders at Hollywood's attempts...
