Love Olzon made his BREAKTHROUGH with the debut single "Jag vill ha en tjej som tycker om mig" in 1996. Since then he has released FIVE albums & the critics have been ecstatic pouring praise over him, but sales have not been too good. We don't know exactly why that is. Is he too PRETENTIOUS? No, we don't think so. Maybe just a little. Doesn't he want to be loved? Doesn't he want to sell records? Yes, we DO believe he does. Is he too UGLY? No, he's not ugly. Not ugly at all.However... Love Olzon's CONSISTENTLY headstrong approach to art as well as to business has irritated quite a few, but has received respectful recognition from even more people. In 1999 he was appointed Swedens most UNDERESTIMATED artist by Jan Gradvall, one of Swedens most important pop and rock critiques.& even though he generally likes people, he's always sought his own space, a musical and poetic room. & PERHAPS it is the seeking for his own and original artistic EXPRESSION that is the basis for his voluntary alienation. & yes.
