The Black Forest Locomotive

About Me

Broke up early '05...The Black Forest Locomotive fuses the collaborative efforts of one of the most intriguingly dynamic group of musicians that have united in recent memory.Combining their individual rich and diverse musical backgrounds, these four pioneers join forces to deconstruct rock stereotypes and whip listeners into an intoxicatingly provocative state. Influenced by the stately era of Jagger/Richards rock royalty,The Black Forest Locomotive filters this decadent and debauched vision through the grimy lense of urban and social reality culminating in a powerful knock you on your ass live show. Matt Gabs' eerily profound guitar stylings coupled with the unrelenting efforts of Johnny and Nancy on drums and bass respectively, set the stage for Alex's wounded whiskey drenched vocal contributions. As seedy and raw as the City of Baltimore which birthed these musical orphans, The Black Forest Locomotive reinvents the rock spectacle all the while paying homage to the influences that infected their stylistic sensibilities. Prepare to fall for then have your heart broken by The Black Forest Locomotive. - Emily Mcdonough
