Born the only girl & first child to Joan & Peter, Krystal is a charismatic ball of energy. She and her two younger brothers are first generation Americans born into a Caribbean family; Jamaica. Small island values were very important instruments engrained into her as she was groomed into the singer/songwriter she is today. At a very young age, Krystal, took on the role of “house mother†to a single mom working multiple jobs to make ends meet. This lack of a childhood lead to songwriting as a means of ‘escaping’. At the tender age of 13 Krystal wrote her first song. Singing became the most natural next step after her aunt over heard her singing to herself. Over the next 5 years Krystal worked diligently to perfect her craft. With the financial assistance of various family members and never ending support of her parents Krystal began entering local talent shows & recording in various basement studios all the while modeling on the side. Although modeling was a fun past-time singing/songwriting was always her passion. At the age of 18 Krystal began writing for various artists. At the age of 21 she wrote multiple songs for Neenah Taylor, singer/actress who is currently filming in California and a local all male singing group by the name of S.O.L.E. With the assistance of her producer, Scott MacIntire, Krystal has recently begun to work on a solo project. This project is a conjunctive mix of her upbringing and her American roots.
