It's easy to recognize the "Female Robert Plant" reference the moment you hear her first note, but immediately following you hear the soul of Aretha Franklin, and the sweetness of Ella Fitzgerald, sensuously rolled into one beautiful package.Tingle was born and raised in northern California by musician parents and grandparents. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 16 and began gigging and recording. She landed a job as a "session vocalist" for the writers at Almo-Irving Publishing, part of A & M Records. Top writers hired Tingle to sing their songs to submit to everyone from Tina Turner to Dolly Parton. She was noted for her quick ear and ability to sing many different styles, accents, etc. After years of working "behind the scenes" in the studios, except for the occasional gig, she decided to move away from Los Angeles to Austin. There she would find more venues and opportunity to hone her craft.Tingle moved to Texas and formed Black Pearl, a polished rock band. Her songs from that first CD caught the ears of a few t.v. execs and several were placed on episodes of "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Melrose Place", "Kindred: The Embraced", among many others.Quickly gaining the attention of studios in Texas, Tingle began more work inside the publishing world again, singing for t.v. and radio commercials, films, and songwriters, while sustaining a rigorous gig schedule. After meeting Ray Benson, she was hired to sing on several soundtracks with Benson, including Jean-Claude Van Damme's "Universal Soldier". Then later, Tingle worked on Sandra Bullock's "Miss Congeniality" and Robert Rodriguez's "Spy Kids 3" & "Once Upon a Time in Mexico".Progressing forward by going solo after the Black Pearl CD, she released 5 more CD's under her own name, all to stellar reviews. This music gained attention from European radio stations and she was quickly added in rotation on England's BBC radio, thanks to "Whispering Bob Harris". She continues to enjoy European support from fans there, thanks to the Internet! Tingle continues to work in venues throughout the southwest, and in Europe, all under the roof of her own label, Tingle Entertainment Inc., and publishing, Zelphamax Music.Voted FEMALE VOCALIST of the YEAR, BAND of the YEAR, BEST SONG, MUSICIAN of the YEAR, & ALBUM of the YEAR in the Austin Music Awards many times over the past decade, she is considered the female vocalist of AUSTIN, and well-respected throughout the south. She has toured and/or performed with many legendary acts, such as Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel, Eric Johnson, Stephen Bruton, Monte Montgomery, Marcia Ball, Stevie Ray Vaughan's Double Trouble, and continues to fill the airwaves of radio stations throughout the southern U.S. and parts of Europe.VISIT www.lisatingle.com for more information.
