As I sit here and think, how I was molded into the man I have become thoughts of poverty, low income, food stamps, drug dealers, drug addicts, drug paraphernalia , no father figure, single mother, My Big brother been locked down for 16 years of my life he!I was born at Community Hospital in Monterey California on June 24, 1970 raised in the city of Seaside Ca. Born out of wedlock I remember growing up thinking I was cursed because I didnt have my real pops in my life. All my homies used to get picked up by their fathers and come back with stories of how they did this and that, I used to think DAM! I wish I could do the same but to make a long story short. It didn't happen. Now growing up in a low income environment was fun but all the other shit that came with it made it even more interesting. Seeing the older homies slanging, fighting, and talking about each other we took into that wanted to be just like them as time went by seeing lives destroyed and made behind the walls of a low income community makes big dreams. I got courted in to the PJ'S in Los Angeles in 1991 getting caught up with people who you think are your friends. Was a major learning lesson to me that was a situation that I thought I would never get into but thats what happens when youre in that life. You have to take the negative and make it positive. I also had bad experiences in the music industry such as bad record deals and dealing with people who you do music with who become HATERS instead of true people trying to succeed in life. Just in it for the ride or to bring you down. It didn't stop me at all I still have the love for music and performing. I remember listening to Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Africa Bambata, Run DMC & Jam Master J, Boogie Down Productions, just to mention a few but there is many more. Music was my outlet besides sports. I love to play baseball, basketball and football, but music was my HEART. I wanted to be an M.C. every since I was real young. I dont know exactly when but ever since I started I wont stop. Its just something about rap music. You cant out grow it once youre in it. To make another long story short SCOOTER D was created by the community. Nothing I say is fake we lived it done it. So whatever you think your doing keep doing it because I am. I am a family man I believe FAMILY is first I always say. I have been married for 15 years to my wife and have 3 children. I have major love for my mother who help raised me with the help of my wise grandmother. I have now found my real father after 26 years of not knowing him at all.
