Chance is a sophisticated vocal artist who combines classical instrumentation and traces of rap and hip hop with thoughtful, intelligent lyrics that explore the many different phases of our existence. On the album “Walks of Life,” every track tells a story. This focused, accessible approach provides listeners with a thought-provoking musical experience that never misses a beat and never loses its edge.Chance has performed in New York City’s Remote Lounge, Don Hills Concert Hall, and has been a part of SOB’s Power Summit. In 2006, Chance was named Arisen New Male Artist of the Year after a performance at the Texas Trabadour Theater in Nashville, Tennessee. Chance has also auditioned for the Apollo Theater and the Water Street Music Hall in Rochester, New York. In addition, he has been working with Outer Limit Recording Studio in Buffalo, New York, since 2001. Chance has grown as an artist and “re-invented” himself, says Ken Rutowski; owner and engineer of Outer Limit.Chance grew up in an affluent part of town even though his parents, who were in and out of his life as a child, struggled financially. He was cared for primarily by his Grandmother. At the age of 7 months, he was rushed to the hospital—his heart stopped beating three times. Soon afterwards he was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. Chance also was involved in a couple major traffic accidents. One in particular, he was rear-ended and then hit head-on. Chance should not have walked away from that crash, but he did. This is how the artist’s name “Chance” is derived.
