I spend my free time being as leisurely as possible. Hanging out at Border's, the movies, buying video games. I also like to workout and run on my days off. Dont get to run on the beach every morning anymore, but gotta make due.
NOT LOOKING FOR DRAMA... Seriously, i know everyone has some in their life, but at least know how to manage it. I'm definately not perfect, but I own up to my faults and mishaps. You should too. Looking for a guy who has his own identity. Seems like a generic quality to list, but its worth stating regardless. Too many queers are ready to stick their finger in the air and pretend they are Tyra Banks, and I just laugh at them. I'm looking to make friends or dating. I tend to gravitate towards non-femme guys, but i'll make friends with anyone.
I am a BIGTIME Linkin Park, 311, and Smashing Pumpkins fan. My idea of the perfect would be if Nick Hexum and S.A. (of 311) were openly together! I also love Garbage. Don't listen to the radio so much now that Party 93.1 is gone. I love dance music and techno. I grew up in the farmlands, but I really cant stand country music, god it sucks. OKay it dosent suck that bad, but it ALL sounds the SAME!!
Every humaities elective i had, i spent it on film courses. If I werent in school for something else right now, i'd probably be pursuing the independant film scene. I am a BIGBIGBIG fan of Peter Jackson, Dario Argento, Mercdhant Ivory, Ken Russell, John Carpenter, Ang Lee, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and Jorg Buttgereit. I like all genre's but I tend towards movies with some action or require a LOT of thought.
I dont watch television, no time for it. But when i do i stay glued to the Food Network. Food 911, How to Boil Water, Tyler's Ultimate (okay Tyler Florence stars in all of these shows, what can I say, I love tall beefy guys :-P)
Chris Rice, son of Anne, is the most invigorating author I've encountered in a long time. His crazy books have tons of gay characters, but you cant really lable them as "gay" books. They have a modern urban noir atmosphere that puts you in an original place you've never been before. I highly recommend his novels to anyone. My ulterior reasoning being that his books challenge your ideas of what a genre novel is.
Hmmmm....Chris Rice- he's crazy but his books still feel wayyyy ahead of their time.Peter Jackson- back in the late 80s and early 90s, no film director had the iron cajones this guy had. I'm still shocked by his early films like "meet the feebles" and "bad taste"!311- gotta love guys who still make music their wayand not selling out, even when its non-commercially viable. Plus the 2 lead singers are pretty darn hot!!Poppy Z. Brite- "Lost Souls" is one of the best horror books I've ever read, oblitereates Anne Rice's convention of the lonely romantic vampire character.
