Leaving for Scotland October 12th

About Me

Myspace Layouts I was born in Greenock, Scotland, but grew up in Campbeltown, Scotland. At the age of 19, I met my husband who was stationed there with the United States Navy. We have now been married for 27 years which is really quite unusual nowadays. I have 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys ranging in age from 12 to 26, and 4 grandchildren, 2 boys and 2 girls. I love music, all kinds, and love to play my keyboard and violin, although I am much better at the former. My brother was quite musically talented and actually played keyboard for Billy Connolly. He passed away in 2001 and I miss him terribly. I used to be shy when I was younger, but not any more. I am actually a lot of fun and I love to joke around and try and find humor in situations. I believe that people are just too serious and don't appear very happy. Life is too short, enjoy it. I love to have a good time, and by that I don't mean going out and getting drunk, or anything like that. I enjoy healthy kinds of fun. I love being outdoors doing stuff, so winters here in New York can be a bit depressing as I hate being stuck indoors. I love the hot summer weather so that I can go places and swim, and all the other fun stuff you would normally do in summer. I am just back after spending a month in Scotland with my mother. It was absolutely wonderful to be able to go home for that long, but I missed everyone in New York while I was there. My husband and I are planning on going together next spring, so I'm really looking forward to that. For now, I am back in college to get a dual degree, this time in Business Administration.

My Interests

.. Get Your Own Player!

Playing the violin, or at least trying to=) Playing keyboard which I'm a lot better at. Anything that I can do with my family is nice. In the summer I like to go to amusement parks, and the zoo is always fun. Also, I LOVE to spend time on my boat in the summer. It feels really nice on a hot summer day cruising along the lake. I also like travelling and have been lucky in my life to see a bit of the world. One thing I don't like is extremely long car rides.

I'd like to meet:

My father as he died when I was only 8 months old and I never got the chance to know him. Rhydian Roberts =]

Movies:

I don't really have a favorite genre of movie. As long as it's a decent movie I enjoy all kinds.

Television:

Don't really watch too much television. I enjoy American Idol and X Factor and any show that is medical in nature. Documentaries are good also.

Books:

These books were written by my husband, Larry M. Lounsbury. Check them out. Just go to Google, type in his name, and then the name of the book, either "That Special Woman," "The Right Spot," or "Language of Trees."Since I got back from Scotland I've read "Honour Killing in Argyll and Bute" by William Scott, "L'Amant" by Marguerite Duras, "My Horizontal Life" by Chelsea Handler" (thought it would be funny, but was rather disturbing) and am in the process of reading "Blood, Sweat, and Tea" by Tom Reynolds.

Heroes:

Jesus Christ.
