About Me

1983 Luis starts playing guitar.1991 The Angulo brothers form their first cover band called "The White Shadows" playing 60..s covers by the Yardbirds,Santana,Beatles, Rolling Stones,the Animals etc.They play between San Diego and Tijuana baja california.1992 The Angulo brothers form their first original spanish rock power trio "Culturas Mixtas".Culturas Mixtas wins second place award in the Mexicali Baja califonrnia songwriting contest.1994 Culturas Mixtas breaks up and Luis enrolls in the world music department of San Diego state university and performs with the Gahnean-African percussion ensemble around california.1996 Luis moves from california to southern Germany.1997 The afro-cuban Son band "Quinteto Chá" is born with Luis as the guitarrist singer frontman.1998 Quinteto Chá celebrates their first CD release opening "Entre dos Mundos" in the city of Konstanz Germany.2000 Quinteto Chá enter the studio in St.Gallen Switzerland to record thier second CD "Saludo" Produced by Luis.2002 Quinteto Chá opens up for the Buena Vista Cuban legend Eliades Ochoa at the Zelt Festival In Konstanz Germany.2002 Luis releases his self produced Spanish rock project "Ayer y hoy".2003.Luis performs his first live electronic Loop show in Luzern Switzerland with avant-garde percussionist Rick Walker and inventor of the Echoplex Matthias Grob.2004 Luis celebrates his first loop based CD "Primeros Ciclos" at the art expo "Seenachtsfest" for the Artist painter Heiko Haschlar.
