About Me

Born in the back of an ambulance on the thirtieth day of June nineteen hundred and seventy, Derry had produced yet another would be fucking musician. (Well I was shite at football) Inspired by the Country collection of me Da, the Rocker collection of our Peter, the Punk collection of our Jimmy and the New Wave collection of our Sean, both me and our Paul (the two youngest) started to make our own sounds on cheap guitars bought on the never never. Knowing early on that I would never be Bruce Springsteen I decided to be John Prine instead. To cut a short story shorter I started writing songs and in the cold winter of 1991 I met Deccy McLaughlin and I knew from then on I was in trouble. We formed the now legendary giant killers "The Screaming Bin Lids" and later nearly won the cup with "The Whole Tribe Sings" I retired injured fearing I would never walk on the pitch again, but here I am, back with a new band and new songs. We are currently recording our debut album which will be released in October 09. Thanks for calling in.
