George Boronas begun his dj career at the end of 90’s in Thessaloniki, Greece. Breakbeat and Intelligent Drum n’ Bass were his early influences and due to his unique record collection and his high level mixing skills he gain strong reputation in Greek underground music scene. He spinned in parties and events in various bars and continue he’s career as resident dj to Thessaloniki’s SODA Bar. Meanwhile he changed his musical taste and moved into House, Tech-House, Techno sounds becoming popular in Thessaloniki’s club scene. In 2000 he formed the djing/vjing team ELECTRIC PULSE alongside dj PALE PENGUIN and vj SATELLIGHT. The team organized a lot of extraordinary parties and events throughout Greece combining djing with live musicians and live vjing. Their parties gained a cult status, and they presented in many music magazines (FREEZE, PANSELINOS, TAHIDROMOS), radios (88,5FM) and TV programmes. Additionally they have booked top djs like ADAM BEYER and MR.C giving Thessaloniki’s club scene some memorable electronic nights, they have organized a unique Flyer Exhibition accompanied by a smashing opening party event, and they have present a special Tech-House mix CD for FREEZE magazine. In 2002 DJ BORONAS started a weekly residency in ART IN PROGRESS club, the next year continue with another residency in LIQUID club and additionally started producing his own music. He produced another quality Tech-House mix CD for Freeze Magazine and in the beginning of 2004 he presented (with Pale Penguin) the Tech-House night AERONAUITCS in ELVIS Bar. From 2005 till today he’s resident dj to Thessaloniki’s best underground Bar ELVIS hosting the uplifting Electro-House, Techno and Minimal Saturday nights of the bar, presenting special events and parties with guests (EAST AREA NIGHTS) and warm-up sets for international djs like JAMES FLAVOUR (DIRT CREW). He has collaborated with Dj CHRIS and presented some special Tech nights in BOUTIQUE Club, he presents dj sets for radio station 100.3FM and participated in VERSIONS FESTIVAL 2005, Halkidiki, Greece alongside names likes MARTINEZ, SWAYZAK, OLIVER KOLETZKI, TOM CLARK, BENT and more. From September of 2007 he’s resident dj to LIEBE Club, Thessaloniki, Greece and he has done warm-up dj sets for international artists like RIPPERTON, JONAS BERING, LOCO DICE, MARTIN BUTTRICH, ARIL BRIKHA, ROBERT BABICZ etc. On the productions side he has formed (alongside STERGIOS) the project MINIMAX which have released the single “ROUND 2” for SOLID FABRIC RECORDS and they are going to release the single “THIRD TOUCH” for DRAG N’ DROP RECORDS (ERASE RECORDS techno sub-label). MINIMAX’s sound is Tech-House oriented with Neo-Trance influences. Additionally George Boronas has released the single “REBOOT ME” under DJ BORONAS AND MR.LOOKMAN project for V.I.M.TECH RECORDS. A rolling Tech-House tune with eastern influences backed with an extraordinary Deep remix by Chilean producer MIGUEL TUTERA.
