i love to read good books, but i am not really able to do it because of two small children. i usually get to read when i'm in the bathroom, but even then andrew doesn't give me any privacy. i really enjoy scrapbooking, but i don't get to do that very often either. i love to cross stitch, i just need to get some of it framed and up on the wall. i like movies where there is a plot, when the actors are good, and there isn't any sex, violence or bad language. i do not do science fiction movies. they give me scarey dreams. i love to go to new places. i really want to go to prague, and going to poland was so cool. i love shopping, especially when i get good deals. i'm kind of a snob when it comes to that. i hate paying full price. i only look at things that are 50% off or more. i love speaking french. i wish i was able to take a class in german. i can say a few things, but i love going to france because i can speak to them, and i know where to go to get the good stuff. i play the piano, and i teach piano lessons, but i don't actually practice. i need to start practicing more, so that i don't lose it.
i would like to meet the people who thought up such horrible things like the XBOX, or Nintendo, or PS1, 2. they should have their heads beat in. i would love to meet my grandparents when they were 50 years younger. i'll have to think more about this one. travel layout @ Unique MySpace Layouts - Movie Layouts - Music Layouts - More MySpace Layouts! - MySpace Tools
this will be short. i like music of almost any kind. rap i really can't get into very much. i love 80s style music, and i love the euro pop stuff. i love country, and i like enya. i like classical. i once was able to go to an opera, while i was in france, and it was awesome. the best part about it was that the opera was written by Bizet, and he was french, and the opera was Carmen, and i was able to understand what was going on! it was great. i love learning about music. i like the beatles, and i will always be a fan of oingo boingo. depeche mode and U2. at least most of their stuff. i love the mettalica black album. big bad voodoo daddy i was able to see live and i will always love jazz and big band music. i just wish i could play it......
i only buy movies that i love, and the ones that i own, are Mean girls, Sliding doors, Anne of Green Gables, Breakfast at Tiffany's, My Fair Lady, Charade, three different versions of Pride and Prejudice. Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Strictly Ballroom. I really love those. and i love Moulin Rouge.
right now it's whatever is on AFN. we don't get very much television here. i love judging amy, law and order, CSI (i close my eyes when they do the gross stuff). i hate to admit it, but i love dancing with the stars. andrew loves to dance with them, and then we dance together. its a ton of fun. i own a season each of ER, seinfeld, and law and order: criminal intent. i love that there aren't any commercials. i love everybody loves raymond because i feel like debra a lot. i like desperate housewives. i don't know what else is on, because we don't get everything that you get in the states.
at this time of my life the books that i like to read are things that can help me be better parent and a better person. i really enjoy reading. some of my favorite authors are L. M. Montgomery, Fannie Flagg, Jane Austen, Louisa May Allcott some of my favorite books are The Great Gatsby, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Les Miserables (in english of course. reading it in french makes my head explode). I love Petit Nickolas books. they are french, and are a series of books about a little boy, written from the little boys point of view. they stories are hilarious, and the illustrations are awesome. another book that i like, but is also in french is La petite taup qui voulait savoir qui lui avait fait sur sa tete. basically that means "the little mole who wanted to know who did it on his head". and the story is about how he goes around to the other animals and asked them if they were the ones that did it on his head, and they usually say "no, we do it like this!". its great with lots of good vocab. i love reading, but have little time for it. i'm trying to read a book called "easy to love, difficult to discipline" to help me learn how to be a better person, and therefore a better parent. basically, not to be a passive agressive parent, but to be an assertive parent. i'll let you know how it goes. its awesome so far.
