About Me

My name is Tony, and I attend Rockford College in northern Illinois. First thing you should know is that I am a long distance runner and have been for 6 years. I am also extremely competitive, but also funny, loving, and a very outgoing person. I grew up playing baseball and soccer, but found out my true passion in life was to run! I graduated from Francis Howell Central in '05 (Go SPARTANS!). I drive a Jeep Wrangler which is my dream car.My goal is to major in Psychology, go to graduate school and get a master's in counseling and become a high school guidance counselor and cross country coach. I love to work with other people, especially younger kids and that is why I would like to be a counselor. It took a lot of people (parents, teachers, etc.) and many lessons to give me guidance in life, and I thank God for all of those people that have impacted my life in any way. I would love to be that person that someone looks back to and says that I was the one that impacted their life. There is no greater feeling that to see someone smile because of something that you have done. I have always lived my life with the understanding that EVERYTHING happens for a reason. You will have ups and downs along the way, but the only way to get past the downs is to learn from them and try not to make the same mistake twice. I have two great parents, a courageous older brother, and a lovely younger sister and that is the reason I can smile each and every day of my life. With their support I have been able to accomplish many things in my life. They have always backed me up on my decisions and were always there when I was in trouble. Throughout the years they have been there through my success and failures (even though I try to limit those). They have given me all the support I have needed to pursue my dreams of running in college and have made it happen. I now run for Rockford College and have already accomplished so much in just two years. I have won the NIIC cross country conference championship in my freshman year and also won the 1500 meter run in outdoor track. I had another good year in cross country last year running a 26:53 for 5 miles and also a 6th place finish in a much tougher conference (NAC). I have also successfully maintained a 3.5 GPA! If you would like to know anything else...please send me a message or comment. I love to meet new people and I am a very outgoing guy...This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5

What a friend helped me to notice

Lately I have been reading what some of my friends have written in their blogs...one person is specific though (Desirae) has really helped me to notice something. As I grew up, I went to a private Lut...
