Oh my goodness, where do I start? Let's start with Video games, since everybody born from the 80s and up has an affinity to them.
I deeply, deeply love writing, but I don't get to do it much as I like. I like writing especially because it puts me in a position to take control and grab reality by the toes and swing it around. I like listening to music, but so does every person in the universe, so go ahead skip to the Music section. I like riding bikes; Going for walks. I like lifting weights, but I'm no dumbbell. Sandwiches. Give me a sandwich, and I'm happy. I usually make my own, some of unconventional creation.
The Lord, George Orwell, Moses, The Original Ronald McDonald, Shinguru Myamoto, Rodney Dangerfield, Johnathan Frakes, The Prophet Jeremiah, Isaac Asimov, and that one genius who thought ham and cheese on two pieces of bread should be together. =0
[In no Particular Order, nor scale of interest] Steppenwolf, Lake of Tears, Ulver, The Gathering, Coldplay, Monster Magnet, The Fire Theft, Yoko Konno - Cowboy Bebop, Green Day, Beatles, Laziest Men on Mars, Age of Silence [Norway], In The Woods, An Anonymous Band , They Might Be Giants, Pink Floyd, Overclocked Remixes [Internet], Love History [Czech Rep], Antimatter, and that's probably... most, if not all.
I would sum up my interests saying it spans many genres with emphasis on rock. I'm getting into the 60s and 70s rock, like Janis Joplin, Steppenwolf and Floyd. I also like techno. That's where Laziest Men on Mars and Overclocked remixes come into play. Age of Silence, is a very interesting group where they mix hard rock sound with piano, industry, a little techno and... just raw talent.
Yeah, if there are any hard-rock, acid, black metal Christian bands, let me know. Cause if you mix Goodie Band + Monster Magnet = You would get something that's worth a listen.
Anyone with one eye or more and a brain that works can tell you they like movies. I like movies. There. I like a lot of them, most of them coming from the 1980s and early '90s. Tom Hanks is a big pleaser. The Cannon Ball Run series is an under-appreciated classic. Gotta love Burt Renolds. I saw "I am Sam" recently... and you should too.
Generally, TV is bad for you. Real bad. I like the late 1980's to 1990's old cartoons from growing up.
If not for television, I get my kicks from www.homestarrunner.com. It's a comedic website that the whole CUAA campus was in uproar. I mean, check it out, and form your own opinion. Hysterical.
Speaking of college time at CUAA, I learned to appreciate Adult Swim and Anime. It was a wide-spread interest that hungrily consumed time and... our media libraries. I won't make a huge list, but there are a few anime series and movies of choice; Cowboy Bebop, Love Hina, Akira, Full Metal Alchemist, and it would be beneficial to view FLCL.
In addition to anything in a English Class textbook, such as Frost, Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Oedipus Rex, and any other Drama or literature, I will add the following.
