About Me

The Band was formed in early 2002 in Bydgoszcz by COB nad DZID (both are playing guitars). Then Sabina (drums), Mishuggah (vocals) and Rudy (bass) joined them to play together. They called themselves iXioN
Soon they had felt a need to make some changes and Sabina left the band, bART who was playing drums for a quite some time replaced her.

They started performing concerts in Spring of 2003. For a year the line up was pretty stable. In the summer of 2003 iXioN had recorded instruments for their first demo. It was hard work.
During autumn iXioN was performing outside Bydgoszcz but in December they have splitted their ways with Mishuggah who was replaced by Qubik on his position.

The beginning of 2004 was tough for everyone. They had to write new vocals with Qubik to finish recording of the demo. In the meantime the band had played some concerts.
Finally in June all vocal parts had been recorded and mixed. It was time when iXioN should play lots of concerts but they didn't. SIV (drums) became a new member of iXioN right after bART had left the band in early summer of 2004. Then some kind of disaster felt on the band - Qubik and Rudy also left iXioN.

For more than two years the band were mainly COB (g.) & DZID (g.). The band members during this time was also SIV (dr.) and from October 2005 ZBYCH (bg.)
Starting with August of 2006 the band line-up was rebulit. BART is back on drums, thanks to him PORZ (voc.) & SPID (bg.) have joined the band in early September. Now there is only hard work, rehersals and lots of playing to do. From December 2006 we were working on some material for tribute concert with MISH who since then is back in the band. He replaced PORZ on vocal. In course of March 2007 SPID has left iXioN. Since then LATE is playing on bass.
From Summer of 2008 SPID is back in the band on bass. The last gig with LATE we'd played was in June '08 in Naklo. Since then we are working on our material with SPID.
Our small 3-track demo is finally accomplished. We decided to entitle it "For Free" because it will be widely available free of charge... Despite the song at the same title... "nothing is for free"... quite the opposite... Enjoy!

In mid-April, COB and MISH informed the rest of the band that, after all the concerts arranged are played, they are leaving the band. The decision was made due to various reasons and resulted from many internal situations not everyone has to know. Consequently, the concert in Naklo on 16.05 was the last one played by iXioN with COB at the guitar and MISH at the vocals...
What are gonna be the next moves - the time will show...
