About Me
The band, Latture (La- tour), was formed in February 2006 by six friends from Conway, Arkansas. Their memorable pop hooks and soulful harmonies quickly attracted a large local fan base and drew them comparisons to popular alternative acts such as Queen, Ben Folds, and Coldplay. Band members are as follows: Jessica Allgaier (22), violin; Cale Mills (23), guitar and vocals; Seth Latture (23) piano and lead vocals; Jordan Wright (25), bass; Mandi Tollett (25), vocals; Jason Bourg (28), drums.
The two principle songwriters of Latture, Cale Mills and Seth Latture, met their freshmen year in a college dorm and have been playing and dreaming about music ever since. In the winter of '06, the two friends scrounged up what money they could as college students and entered Blue Chair Studio to record a few songs. With the help of acclaimed producer and now dear friend Darian Stribling, they managed to record six songs in one day. The positive feedback they received from the demo was tremendous. News of the cd spread quickly and soon a friend of Seth and Cale’s asked them to play a local benefit concert for Thailand. Seth and Cale agreed but soon realized they were still short a bass player and drummer. They began to play with any of their friends who could hold an instrument right, and even some who couldn't, and over time the crew that would later become Latture was formed.
Since the full length debut was released in November of 2006, "LATTURE" has gone on to sell over seven hundred copies. LATTURE continues to bring over three hundred plus friends and fans to each live show, a feat almost unheard of by any other local band. Their first single, “The Boxerâ€, has also received airplay on some of Little Rock's hit stations. LATTURE has opened for national acts such as Lovedrug, Cartel, and U2...well, not really, but someday ;) .
Jim Harris, entertainment columnist for the Arkansas Times, wrote the following after seeing LATTURE live at the Arkansas Musicians Showcase. “The night at Sticky Fingerz drew about 300 folks, including a monstrous crowd of fans of the second band, Latture. In fact, my new favorite group is Latture...it was a theatrical show full of songs with depth that seemed to reflect a Ben Folds influence, I can’t wait to see this Conway band perform again.â€
LATTURE is made up of six friends who want to see their music reach as many people as possible. After every show that LATTURE plays, and with each person they meet, LATTURE count themselves more and more blessed."Thanks to everyone who drops us a line on myspace about our music, and thanks to all our friends for your constant support and encouragement. It means more than you know. We'll see you all soon!" - Cale
